This is my last tweet for HTMS’s Library. Some wonderful living, laughing, and learning happened in this place over the last 5 years. I am so excited to now serve as TCS’s Technology Integration Specialist - look for me here @RachelFBrockman .

HTMS’s Book Fair starts Mon! For easy shopping, set up your eWallet or shop this weekend using the link below. Students may shop during PE or between classes. We are so excited to have a fair ON SITE - it’s been over a year! scholastic.com/bf/hewitttrus… #htmsreads #trussvillelearns
Our students are very much looking forward to our Spring Book Fair which will be held in the school lobby throughout next week (April 26-30). During designated times, students will have the opportunity to peruse and purchase all the latest titles.
After thoughtful consideration, the Book Fair Family Shopping Night - usually held in conjunction with this week-long event - will not be held. It was originally scheduled for the evening of Thursday, April 29.
The decision to forego this component of this year’s Book Fair has been made due to overwhelming interest -- and limited school space.
As always, we appreciate your support of our school and our students! #htmsreads #htmslearns #trussvillelearns
When you do the math, and literally have checked out the same number of books to students IN ONE DAY that you normally do in half a month of school. While prepping Chromebooks for state testing. #whew #goodstuff #statetestingprep #htmsreads
After learning how to rotate, align, group, make holes, raise & lower objects in @tinkercad , my 7th grade @buildbetterbook students designed children’s books characters to be 3D printed for our VI students. So proud of their hard work! #trussvillelearns #htmslearns
More wonderful scenes from the library today... first in-person checkouts! #htmsreads #covidschool #pandemiclife #trussvillelearns #mylibrarystory #ALlibraries

Super proud of my students’ perseverance as they have grappled with 3D design skills. Their very first 3D printed creations are below! Next week they will select a picture book & create a corresponding tactile design for VI learners. #trussvillelearns #htmscares @buildbetterbook
Good morning @tinkercad ! Are you guys down? Changes I’m trying to make to a project are not happening.
Today @buildbetterbook students put their finishing touches on Braille/QR code/tactile posters that teach 8th grade science standards. Research for this project began in Nov - they have worked HARD! #trussvillelearns #htmscares
