Today I travelled 2 hours each way for a con with a client at HMP Highdown. Despite a booking for 9:30, the client was brought to the con room at 10:15 because the prison had got the wrong person… 1/2

This is just shocking. Many of these cases are heard in the Magistrates’ Court where there is an emphasis on speedy justice and which often come down to the word of the defendant against that of an officer.
