You must not be getting it. The moment that CM broke protocol to gift that bigoted streamer and bring his community to ours you violated everyone’s safety in the DBD creator community and it will never be safe until you take appropriate action. The appropriate action is to let go that employee. No exceptions.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.

Now that I’ve caught up: @DeadbyDaylight to say that your actions are an utter disappointment is an understatement. Why would you ever reach out to partner w/ Burnt Peanut whose entire platform, behavior & community is in direct opposition to what you claim to support?

The saddest thing to me with this whole burnt slurslinging peanut is that now every dbd player that was dedicated to the game voicing their disappointment has their replies FLOODED with bigotry because thats whats his audience is. A bunch of degenerates. And thats what they cater to??? Im sorry this needs to be addressed asap 🧍♂️
There is so much I want to say, but at this point, I just feel like it doesn’t matter. Like, you present your values as a studio to be very inclusive when it suits you then turn around and placate to bigots. It’s just so… pathetic. @DeadbyDaylight
And it just feels demoralizing and pointless to say anything because being a decent human being online isn’t very popular right now and worst among us get all the favor.

The worst part of that "We can take the heat" claim is that they didn't for Zoey.
Threads about her, included the one to communicate she passed away, and the Pride activities of that year got muted because the heat was "too much".
