In a randomized trial of 176 adults whose blood pressure was still raised despite treatment, getting DASH-style groceries delivered every week for 12 weeks lowered systolic blood pressure by 5 points more than a grocery stipend did.
The deliveries put the DASH foods in the house. A version at home starts with a list built from the DASH groups, fruit, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, nuts, seeds, beans and lean protein, and a week of them bought in a single shop.

What if you could turn one dial inside an old cell and make it act younger, without erasing what kind of cell it is?
A Harvard-led team found a gene that did that in lab-grown human skin cells. In old mice, a treatment aimed at the liver slowed frailty and added about 14% to typical lifespan.
Caveat: mice and cells in a dish only. Nobody knows yet if it is safe or works in people.

Researchers followed nearly 150,000 people for 30 years and asked one question: how much lifting is enough?
About 90 to 120 minutes a week was linked to fewer deaths. More than that showed no extra benefit.
Caveat: this tracked habits. It can't prove lifting caused it.

In a 21-week trial of 31 adults with scarred fatty liver, 8 of 17 who took the cancer drug dasatinib with the plant compound quercetin had less scarring on a repeat liver biopsy, compared with 1 of 14 who took placebo.
The groups were small and unequal, with type 2 diabetes in 13 of 17 treated people and 5 of 14 on placebo. If the four missed second biopsies are assumed to have gone against the drugs, p = 0.068. At 21 weeks the trial cannot show effects on liver failure or death.

Dasatinib is a prescription cancer drug, so ask your doctor about approved care for fatty liver.
Have you ever had your liver checked with a blood test or scan?

A pooled analysis of 50 cohort studies, together covering more than three million adults, found that people who ate the most yogurt and other fermented milks had about 6 percent lower risk of dying during follow-up than people who ate the least.
Food questionnaires in cohorts compare yogurt eaters with people who differ in income, diet and health habits in ways adjustment cannot fully remove, and each study defined its highest intake differently. Newer studies also gave weaker results than older ones.

Add plain, unsweetened yogurt to a meal on most days this week.
How often does yogurt show up in your week?
