Governor Tim Walz today announced that Minnesota is launching the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) program to help families purchase food during the summer months. An estimated 400,000 children in Minnesota could benefit from the program.

I understand the House is marking up a Farm Bill today.
It’s inexcusable to propose a Farm Bill that would make a $30 billion cut to nutrition assistance. We know SNAP benefits are already woefully insufficient.
$6 per day, per person, is not enough to support working families.
