3. In a season spread out over 2 semesters, the athletes who get injured in the fall still have the opportunity to participate in meaningful matches in the Spring. This benefits medical staff by giving the resource of time to progress back in sport.

4. Having competitions spread throughout the academic year provides for a better balance of academic stresses, as opposed to current model where athletes have a very light fall and then a difficult spring, which helps with mental health and wellbeing.
