I asked Trevor Megill his thoughts after not coming in for the save/Murph keeping Ashby out there for the 2nd time this postseason. His answer, “we’re not here for egos, we’re here to win a ring.”

Anticipation: the act of preparing for something.
For catchers, anticipation is paramount in receiving.
Anticipation (receiving addition): the art of understanding your pitcher’s pitch shapes, allowing the catcher to predict where the pitch will land through the zone.
Our catchers use visual aids on a baseball. See the images and diagrams for a better understanding of how we train visualization.

Two Huskies making it happen. 🐾
@Sinkoe_Cinco Winston-Salem hitters lead the South Atlantic League in OBP (.375) & rank 2nd in OPS (.819).
@robhardy25 Kannapolis staff leads the Carolina League in ERA (3.68), fewest walks & ranks 2nd in WHIP (1.36).
Proud of these Huskies! 🐾
Currently, 95% of MLB catchers use some variation of a knee down stance. That is a +72% increase from the year 2020. In this short amount of time, has there ever been such a drastic change in the overall style of a particular position?
I don’t mean pitchers using Driveline programs and water bags. I’m talking the physical technique of a position being exponentially different in the matter of 6 seasons.
Train the techniques that allow the best in the world, to be the best in the world. Always evolve.

Want to standout this summer when playing in front of college coaches?
✅Back up 1B on GBs in the IF. Pick a spot in foul territory and sprint to it. Always get further down the line on throws from 3B and SS, more shallow from 2B.
This can still be done with a runner on 1B in a DP situation. Just be hyper aware of the throw to 2B in case of an errant throw and the need to get back home.
Up 10 or down 10, first inning or last inning, hustle matters.
