Microsoft’s massive voluntary exit scheme came as a shock, but it wasn’t entirely unexpected. Over the past year, many software engineers have gone from writing code to mainly reviewing AI-generated code. AI agents have also reduced the workload in incident management and other parts of the development lifecycle too. This is happening across big tech. Many employees could sense what was coming. I strongly feel more companies will follow. Many already know they can operate with smaller teams but are waiting for the right time, perhaps a slow quarter. What’s surprising is that Microsoft is cutting jobs despite record revenue and strong profits. This could put pressure on other tech companies to do the same. The biggest worry is that AI may permanently reduce the number of people needed, even when businesses are growing.

Apparently, someone associated with RVR Projects, a major national-level contractor, filed for an AAI NOC for this land parcel in 2025. However, personally, I don’t think it will make much progress.

🚨Has the Centre Approved Hyderabad Metro Phase 2? No Official Confirmation Yet! According to reports in some local media, the Centre has cleared a ₹24,269 crore plan covering 76 km across 5 metro corridors, with completion targeted for 2029. However, there appears to be no confirmation from other credible sources or official announcements from BJP ministers yet. We need to wait for official confirmation before treating this as confirmed news.

Honestly, this is the most irritating part! Many expensive restaurants don't even have physical menus. They ask for your WhatsApp number, which one day may be sold to real estate telecallers, leading to endless spam calls!

IMAX is back in Hyderabad! The IMAX board is now up at AMB Victory, RTC X Roads. Hopefully, a couple more IMAX screens will become operational in the next few years!

Zero 40 Brewery is coming back to Jubilee Hills, this time on Road No. 45! The place looks massive. The lower floor seems to be a different coffee shop, while the upper floors are dedicated to Zero 40 Brewery. Designed by 23 Degrees Design Shift, the team behind Babylon Jubilee Hills, Makau, Zero40 Financial District, Tabula Rasa FD, and more. The place is expected to open very soon!

Road-widening work from Nanakramguda Exit towards Gachibowli Exit is progressing well. Bridge work is also going on at a good pace.

🚨Big News from My Home Group! My Home is now opening up channel partnerships for its Bangalore project. This is an interesting development, but not entirely surprising. While My Home has traditionally followed its own sales model in Hyderabad, its expansion outside the city seems to be bringing a different approach. In Bangalore, it appears to be adopting a model similar to pan-India developers like Prestige, Sobha and Brigade, who work extensively with channel partners. If this model succeeds in Bangalore, it could potentially influence how My Home approaches sales in Hyderabad, too, particularly for select projects where sales slower than expected.
