When things got messy, the ecosystem showed up.

This is what collaboration in Web3 should look like.
As good as DeFi is, there are still loopholes that make you question just how far protocol composability can go.
From what I've gathered so far, the Binance exploit is particularly interesting.

Now, here's the interesting part...
The USDT could be frozen, but the ETH already borrowed couldn't be frozen by the stablecoin issuer.
That's some serious financial engineering.
It's almost like finding a loophole in a system designed to stop you.
Tether and Circle froze billions in USDT and USDC, respectively, in an attempt to contain the stolen funds.
But the hacker had seemingly found another route.
Rather than simply holding the USDT in a wallet, he deposited some into Aave as collateral and borrowed ETH against it.
