The origins of Hyperliquid started with a company named Chameleon Trading.
Before Hyperliquid existed and was founded, Jeff Yan ran a crypto market-making firm. Its name was Chameleon Trading. He has posted under the handle @chameleon_jeff since the beginning, and still does today.
Chameleon was the name of the company which funded Hyperliquid, and it is the name on every post its founder has ever written about it.
If you zoom in on his pfp there is even a chameleon on the Hyper Liquid cat’s (hypurr) head.
