Looking forward to being a panelist on 4/10 in the Healthy Schools Network conference on
Air Just Air - Clean Air in Schools
Definitely an important topic for which, disappointingly, the needle's not moved much despite COVID-19.

ALT Page 1 of a flyer that informs about the air pollution impact of wood burning. The image is of a wood burning stove with burning logs and smoke coming out of the top. The text says "Wood burning feels cosy but the science is now clear. Burning any kind of solid fuel in a home pollutes the homeowner and their neighbours". Plus some statistics about fine particles (PM2.5).

Great to see @LaguerreAurelie quoted discussing work she led on PAHs and indoor surfaces while at @MaseehCollege @psu_research . She is now at Salk Institute continuing her exceptional work. You are missed, Aurelie!

So pleased to see this happening. There is still low awareness of the many sources and #Health impacts of #AirPollution. Enabling health professionals to be able to talk about this with their patients has been a long time coming. #CleanAir

Since the school year is about to begin I thought I'd post this NPR article from the summer of 2021 about a highly effective means of lowering virus-laden respiratory aerosol particles in classroom air ... It's not rocket science, folks.

Air quality advisories can apply to the air we breathe indoors, too. On today’s @PublicHealthPod, @SDesmon talks with @GGronvall about how poor indoor air quality can threaten our health—and how people can clean and filter air.

Final @ERGAerosol testing of our new mobile measurement system before the start of @StudyWellHome campaigns tomorrow. We'll be testing the air in homes in West London for PM, NO2 and black carbon to help understand what causes #indoorairquality @ERGImperial @imperialcollege

Indoor air quality is invisible and often poorly understood, so risks can be unmanaged. Understanding the risks posed by poor ventilation and opportunities to improve it is essential for protecting public health. Find out more in our new infographic: explainers.raeng.org.uk/vent…

Interesting advice being published on improving indoor air quality when cooking, from @AirPollSurrey & @pk_shishodia. Steaming better than frying, and ventilation whilst cooking is important. #IndoorAir #AirPollution

Example of how to make @WHO messaging more clear. All indoor air should be filtered with proper ventilation. The world deserves clear messaging on a) this virus and many others are airborne and b) you can protect yourself by adding supplemental filtration in form of CR box.

Moving forward on grassroots effort to clean indoor air in classrooms and homes with an emphasis on helping kids/families breathing the worst air. My dream is to create a global network and scale our successful efforts. Please share your story if you have had success.

In 🇫🇷, indoor air renewal is considered acceptable at 800 ppm. In Quebec 🇨🇦 it's 1,500, in 🇧🇪 900 and other places 1,000. For something so important, we'd like to see an international initiative to coordinate on the matter. We're working on it.

25 minutes and counting ..... We will be talking about indoor air quality research needs, high-end & lower-cost sensor technologies, air cleaners (including #COrsiRosenthalBox es), whether a Clean Indoor Air Act is feasible and what it might look like , and more ....
I am really looking forward to facilitating a discussion with this GREAT panel. Got my questions ready and I'm excited about a lively discussion. Tune in, not out. 😉 @EDGEinTech @CitrisD
