This shit is straight up not Minnesotan and I’m not fucking with it.
Tbh, I was supposed to go to the DFL event this weekend but last minute, after finding out Hasan Piker flew out here originally just to stand with us and the DFL but THEY canceled on HIM, I decided to cancel too this time.
I heard they even called some other creators I know to see if they would come, they didn’t go but they did all want to go to the sold out Ilhan Omar / Hasan Piker event. Now DFL members are acting like Hasan’s “event” was a distraction when he wanted to come to theirs originally anyways…
As someone who works with the DFL on occasion and will continue to try (as I know Hasan will too) I shouldn’t be shocked. This is far from the first time they’ve been disappointing and the lack of excitement for the DFL event vs the sold out live stream shows how the public feels too. The DFL is falling behind.
In Minnesota we welcome our neighbors who come in peace, not turn them away and then blame them for Jake Lang doing what he’s has done to plenty of other protesters here in the past (yet we didn’t blame the protesters or the Mayor for him being here?). How does this happen every election year? We need to stand together.

Hey DFL members who spoke out against Hasan Piker, here’s the dumb right wing trap you continually fall into, playing out right in front of your eyes.
Your consultant class team told you to condemn Piker because their PACs wanted it or they think it’s some kind of signal to moderates that they’re going to be the adults in the room and take care of the vitriol on “both sides.”
But the newsfeeds of your constituents are full of actual antagonizers and Nazi sympathizers who come to town to destroy property and incident violence for footage their channels. And then all they see you standing up condemning the guy who is on stage talking about sticking it to billionaires, but your team didn’t tell you about guys like Lang. So you are silent on this.
During an event watched by hundreds of thousands of would-be democratic voters lmao! And they’re going to be completely clueless and get all pissy about the criticism of this, because they are so out of touch. Obama’s onstage chanting “Medicare for all” with AES but they can’t see the writing on the wall. You got got! Again!

It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

Today, I’m honored to share that President Obama is supporting our campaign for the U.S. Senate.
President @BarackObama & I both started as organizers in our communities, because we immediately understood that real changes come from regular folks joining the fight.

Sam Seder: Hasan's not Rush Limbaugh in the year 2000. He's not even Rush Limbaugh in the year 1989. He certainly doesn't have the sort of stature within the Democratic party that a Rush Limbaugh did.
It was both fairly transparent and just a level of incompetence. I can't say that it sunk McMorrow's campaign, but her campaign started sinking right at that point.
[After this clip ends, Sam dovetails into how the attacks on Mamdani failed, so the centrist types switched to Hasan Piker as the new villain. You can watch the full conversation in the link in replies below]

Star Wars (1977) is such a let down after Andor. Everyone who's serious would agree a Gilroy-helmed retelling of Star Wars across another season of Andor would be so much better.

If The Atlantic magazine is doing guilt by association, here's a pic of its owner, Laurene Powell Jobs, with Ghislaine Maxwell.

Judging people by the company they keep is actually a very good determinant of their character.

It's a spectator sport in that this administration is only good at producing spectacles. You are a natural fit because you're not a real athlete, just an influencer who's also good at producing theatre. The administration is using you to distract from a foreign war that has made life more expensive in the United States. You are happy to participate because you have no real beliefs outside of self-promotion and making money.
