BREAKING: OBSESSION! Trump derails his own rally to MELT down over President Obama's hilarious Cheesecake Factory joke — proving it got under his skin.
This was a heat-seeking missile from Obama...
"Who could've guessed the joke would've baited Trump into spending the last week of the election talking more about his White House renovations?" observed Jon Favreau, a former Obama speechwriter.
He was replying to a clip from Trump's rally in Mississippi that has since gone viral.
"And now they say, 'Oh whoa, whoa, Barack Obama is gonna start campaigning,'" Trump said in a mocking voice. "And he's not even campaigning— Tell him he's not campaigning about me, maybe he'll go home."
"But he came in yesterday and he made a speech and part of his speech was to say, isn't it terrible that Donald Trump spends a lot of his time, very little time, I do it very good, I'm really good at real estate and fixing things," Trump continued. "I fix things very good, very beautifully and— I always build beautiful and inexpensive, which is a good combination if you can do."
The truth, of course, is that Trump has zero taste and everything he "renovates" ends up looking gaudy, hideous, and cheap, while simultaneously being insanely expensive because of all the graft and sweetheart deals he bakes in. The estimated cost for his unnecessary White House ballroom has skyrocketed to $600 million, up from the $200 million that was originally predicted.
"But I can do it naturally, it's a natural thing. It actually relaxes me," said Trump, who spends such little time actually working that he shouldn't have any need for relaxation. He's always relaxing.
"'Donald Trump spends a lot of his time fixing up the White House,'" said Trump, in a strange voice. "Isn't that a nice thing to do? The place? No. He said 'this isn't a Cheesecake Factory.'" Can you believe it?"
What Obama actually said was that Trump has the White House looking like "Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory," which is by far the best description we've ever heard for Trump's idiosyncratically tacky preferences.
"Which is a very successful company," Trump went on.
"This isn't— He doesn't like successful companies. But you know, he was very critical about me because I spend time..."
Obviously, Obama's point wasn't that there is anything wrong with Cheesecake Factory. His point was that the Oval Office shouldn't look like a place where you can order Roadside Sliders.
"And if you would have seen the White House, I took over the White House and it was in horrible condition," whined Trump. "I don't wanna use a terrible word. It was in horrible condition. The plaster was falling off the exterior, you have an exterior coat...The plaster was falling off. The paint was no good. A lot of the beautiful ornamentation that they have around the windows."
"I mean they had four or five windows where literally the ornamentation was up on one side and had fallen off or half fallen off on the other," he went on, clearly upset. "And I fixed it. We made a mold of the good one and we put it on the other one. And we got it all beautiful. And then we skim coated with an exterior plaster that's phenomenal. The entire exterior with the best artisans you've ever seen. And we delicately one thing after we took a tile that was broken that was. I mean, I don't wanna say from Home Depot, but it does come from a box. And this is not for the White House."
This is what the President of the United States is choosing to devote his energy to with the midterms just one week away and a worsening affordability crisis. Americans are begging for relief from skyrocketing gas prices caused by his disastrous Iran War and Trump is rambling about renovations. Obama really is a master strategist. He lobbed his rhetorical firebomb, then let Trump handle the rest.
Please ❤️ and share if you feel the blue wave coming!

Never feel you have to hide the hurt you carry
Your feelings are not a weakness, nor are they something to be ashamed of
They are simply part of being human, and even on your hardest days, you are no less worthy of love, kindness and understanding.

Just finished a call with somebody in Chicago who was astonished to discover I had no interest in moving to the USA. He said,
"But everyone wants to live in America, how can you want to stay in Europe?"

Yesterday my wife said, "I want a ribeye steak and by golly I deserve it. I'll even cook them myself to save money."
I agreed with her 100% so off we went to buy a couple of medium sized ribeye steaks.
When the cheapest ones we saw were a package of two for $43, I think I was guilty of saying the F word in public.
So as we were enjoying our Hamburger Helper with our $8 pound of ground meat, we thought about those steaks and that's as close as we got to having a steak dinner last night.
What the actual fuck people?

Could we all stop living our lives pretending that sport, football in particular is in some way important.
Sport is entertainment, if the quality of your life is influenced by the success or otherwise of the sports team you support I can only say.
Grow up.

Just had a scam email that wasn't addressed to me directly, telling me my hardware wallet needed an immediate update. I thought this was strange because I didn't know what a hardware wallet was. Turns out it's something to do with crypto which I have NEVER used or dabbled in. But I'm sure some people might lose a lot of money if they fall for it. Be careful out there lovely people.

TV producers. When the rozzers escort VIP’s the principles car doesn’t have blue lights activated. The back up car will only have rear lights activated.
A VIP rider will only ever put their left foot down. Right foot to cover the brake so both hands are free to direct traffic.

I see that a small percentage of cyclists have decided the traffic closure on Oxford Street in London does not apply to them.
I suggest a combination of fire hoses and attack dogs to stop them. Firm but fair.

One day, the moments we barely noticed will become the memories we hold closest.
A voice, a laugh, a love we thought would last forever. Life whispers no warning when something becomes a last time.
So cherish the little things. They are everything.
