IIIT-Bangalore and Poland’s AGH University Sign MoU for Academic and Research Collaboration on October 23, 2026, during the Polish-Indian Business Meeting held in Bengaluru. IIIT-Bangalore and AGH University of Krakow, Poland, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for academic and research collaboration. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Hon’ble Poland’s Prime Minister, Mr Donald Tusk, and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D. K. Shivakumar. The MoU was signed by Prof. Debabrata Das, Director of IIIT-Bangalore and Mr. Rao Maddukuri, Senior Advisor at AGH University of Krakow, Poland. The MoU will promote collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technologies and other emerging technologies. It will cover joint research activities, the development of joint academic programmes and the exchange of academic materials between the two institutions. IIIT-Bangalore welcomed a group of 13 students and 2 teachers from Gangtok, Sikkim, accompanied by an Army Officer and a JCO from the Assam Regiment, to our campus as part of the Indian Army’s National Integration Tour: Operation Sadbhavana 2026–27, from Gangtok to Bengaluru. The visit provided the students an opportunity to learn, explore and gain exposure to a new academic and cultural environment, while fostering meaningful interaction and a deeper understanding of the diversity that binds our nation together. The K-VLSI Post Graduate Diploma Programme, conducted by COE MINRO at IIIT-Bangalore, has successfully completed its third cohort of 151 engineering graduates. A Government of Karnataka initiative, K-VLSI brings together IIIT-Bangalore, KDEM, the Department of IT, BT & S&T and industry partners to build industry-ready semiconductor talent.
