Did I miss something? Where tge Shedeur fans causing trouble? Most of us are HAPPY for Deshaun and giving him his props knowing Shedeur's time will come. Of course business is slow cause the Cleveland Media's stock in trade is hyperbole and fatalism. Now your team is actually good, you need something to farm clicks. So let's invent a crisis involving Shedeur... It's disgusting to see grown men with no moral spine

Again, gotta give adeshaun his props. He's playing like what he is at this stage of his career. A game manager who knows what to do (and when to do it) to elevate his team in critical moments. Shedeur's my guy but this isn't the worst trajectory of things. The real question is, what happens if the Deshaun plays the whole year and the Browns have a winning record? Cause my suspicion is that they planned to move forward with Shedeur unless he stink this year and/or they got a Top 5-10 draft pick. If Deshaun gets this team looking functional but not elite, its a great environment to drop Shedeur into for the backn3nd of this season or the start of the next one

Whatever you think about Deshaun Watson, you gotta give him props for his 2nd half performance. It wasnt legendary by any stretch but given everything he's had to navigate the last 3 weeks (much of it self-inflicted), that was a gutsy 2nd half of football from him. If he lost and played badly, hed have been benched and he knew he was playing for his career. I'm team Shedeur but you gotta give that man his flowers for at least one night

Big Shedeur fan here but Ive said this several times (imcluding on here). Todd Monken has told us all hes allowed to say. Remeber he corrected a reporter who misquoted him as saying Deshaun was better than Shedeur. When asked to justify why he chose to start Deshaun in Wk1, he kept stressing that the decision was about WEEK 1, ON THE ROAD. And spoke of the "long game" with Shedeur. I think its clear whats happening. Owner/FO want Deshaun to start the year. And I suspect its so there's no blowback from the NFLPA if he's taken off the active roster/sent home from the team. Monk gets to continue to prep Shedeur while the team beds in and drop Shedeur in Week 3 or 5 (when the tough open schedule is done). It also means that no matter how well Shedeur plays, theyre unlikely to make the playoffs and therefore will get a high(ish) draft pick. Unless Shedeur wets the bed, hes their starter next year and will get even more weapons to work with (probably another stud lineman)

Last year there was a huge uproar when Shedeur had to share snaps with Zappe when he was QB3. But now allmof a.sudden, because Shedeur is taking snaps FROM Taylen Green, the media is spinning it as Green taking his job. Shedeur is taking Scout team reps cause Green is too raw t provide what scout team needs (the ability to play similar to the coming week's opponent QB). It allows Shedeur provide the nuance the team.needs and also to mentor Green. Monkey clearly said that Shedeur was: 1. Entrenched as QB2 2. A starter in his estimation and came VERY close to being the Day 1 starter (he lost Deshaun's contract not his play) But these leeches are even on record admitting shamelessly to their plan to use his name to carry their otherwise slow news cycles. They accuse this kid of attracting the very circus they create themselves. He's currently the backup. And he's keeping quiet. Go find another engagement farming method

Now here are the same stats for Elliott Anderson. He's supposed to be a more robust physical presence but his number are equal or worse across the board... His win rate is much worse (understandable due to his team) He has scored the same goals and only 2 more assists in almost double the games His duel success rate, pass completion and distanc3 coveres are the same or worse than Kobbie... And we all know that Kobbie is MUCH better technically, far more press resistant, dictates tempo better and has better dribbling/on ball skills Plus Anderson is almost 3 years older (Nov 2002 to Kobbie's Apr 2005)
