The machine never left Chicago. It just started doing violence prevention.
One nonprofit. Two mayors. One governor. $117.2M in state grants since 2021 — plus city contracts, a $25K check to the mayor's campaign, and a pattern of clearing hurdles other grantees can't.
Who's watching the money?

Illinois,
Tuesday, the @IllinoisFreedo1 is hosting Part 1 of their new 3-Part Poll Watcher Training Series, and there is still time to register.
This training is designed to help everyday citizens better understand the election process, the role of a Poll Watcher, what to look for inside the polling place, and how to serve professionally and effectively on Election Day. Whether you are completely new or simply want a refresher before the next election cycle, this class will help prepare you to participate with confidence.
In Part 1, they will cover the fundamentals of poll watching, including the responsibilities of a Poll Watcher, what you can and cannot do under Illinois law, and how to properly observe the voting process. Future sessions will cover observation and documentation techniques, as well as an overview of the new voting machines being used throughout the state.
Please help spread the word by forwarding this email to friends, family members, volunteers, Election Judges, Precinct Committeemen, and anyone who cares about election integrity. The stronger and more informed our volunteer network becomes, the better prepared we will all be on Election Day.

IL WITNESS SLIPS: OPPOSE a REALLY DUMB bill, HR0652, hearing Tue., May 5 @2PM in Ethics & Elections. Purpose is to keep ICE out of polling locations so illegals don’t get hurt feelings or scared. Let's have some fun: get way more Witness Slips filed to OPPOSE this bill. It has absolutely no force of law– simply the Left trying to show illegal aliens they love them & will do anything to make illegals lives better over American citizens. Re: Request for Review and Investigation of the Illinois SAFE-T Act and Public Safety Concerns
Dear United States Attorney:
I am writing as a concerned resident of Chicago to respectfully request that your office review and, if appropriate, investigate the implementation and impact of the Illinois Safety, Accountability, Fairness, and Equity-Today (SAFE-T) Act, particularly as it relates to public safety within the Northern District of Illinois.
While I understand that the SAFE-T Act was enacted with the intent of promoting equity and reform within the criminal justice system, I am concerned that certain provisions—especially those related to pretrial release and the elimination of cash bail—may be having unintended consequences that affect community safety and public confidence in the justice system.
Specifically, I am requesting that your office consider examining:
Whether the implementation of the SAFE-T Act has led to an increase in repeat offenses by individuals released pretrial under the new guidelines,
Whether there are any patterns or instances where federal law enforcement interests may be impacted by state-level policy changes,
Whether there are any constitutional or statutory concerns that warrant federal review,
The overall impact of the Act on public safety metrics within the Northern District of Illinois,
I believe it is critical that policies affecting the justice system are continuously evaluated to ensure they are achieving their intended goals without compromising the safety and well-being of the communities they serve.
I appreciate your office’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the public. Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter. I would welcome any information your office can provide regarding whether such a review is within your jurisdiction or currently underway.
Respectfully,
[Your Name]
