Today @AVGregR announced the launch of The Innovation Majority Institute (IMI), a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank studying the technologies that can improve our daily lives – and crafting policy proposals to maximize their benefits for people.
Policy ideas often feel abstract and complicated, but they become easier to understand once you can turn the dials and pull the levers yourself.
IMI Policy Labs will build games and simulations to immerse players in the consequences of policy decisions and local priorities.

🍾 After a year of intensive building, I’m thrilled to officially announce the launch of @IMIpolicy.
IMI is a new think tank that goes beyond research and white papers – we’re also building video games, simulations, and experiences to better communicate complex policy issues.

As I wrote this morning, the innovation majority is most people: we all want technology when it improves our lives.
And we want the same things for our families and neighbors: safety, livability, and opportunity.
@IMIpolicy will work to light the way.

This is the opposite of the innovation we need.
This won’t meaningfully serve people, and the deep harms far outweigh any marginal benefits.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test.
48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video.
It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).

The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard.

Our first game from @IMIPolicy Labs is ready to playtest: DC Courier!
You're a bike courier delivering envelopes, parcels, and burritos - navigating street designs inspired by real neighborhoods in Northeast, Mt Pleasant, and Georgetown. #bikedc

What if you could take a bill for a test drive?
Not just reading an analysis, but actually turning the dials, testing your assumptions, and watching the pieces interact.
Today, @IMajorityInst is releasing Mobility Mayor - starting first with autonomous vehicles in DC.
