I think the mad lad might actually pull it off between the trio of products he released today and suddenly the $META renaming doesn't look so bad.
$META unveiled Muse Charm, a palm-sized 5G device built specifically for talking to its Muse AI agent.
They plan to ship the device in December, in time for the holidays.

this is scary. screen swiping activates the same brain areas as drug addictions. our brains haven’t evolved to hold so much stimulation. as a result, our attention span is being destroyed. here’s how to reclaim your attention:
1. take deliberate breaks. it’s literally a skill. less tech during break is best. look out the window, stare at the wall, even for 3 minutes. it’s not a forced moment of doing nothing, but a natural dose off.
2. define no-phone time periods in the day.
3. change your phone settings to make it less interesting. reduce the brightness, the color, the blue light.
4. prioritize good sleep. your brain isn’t inactive while sleep, it’s constantly regenerating energy and processing information. keep your sleep time regular and your room cool.

The market feels so inefficient right now. All the "AI winners" trade in line as a group; same for those stocks supposedly disrupted by AI. It's indiscriminate buying and selling fueled by emotion and momentum. Reminds me of Covid when all the "stay at home" stocks traded as a group and all the "real world" stocks did the inverse. Once in a while, the market becomes susceptible to narratives (even crazy narratives) and people extrapolate too far; i.e. we won't need any physical stores, we won't need in person meetings; there will be no more need for human labor (2026 trumping 2020 by removing not just human meetings, but humans altogether). The market is very vulnerable to inefficiencies when these narratives are given even some credibility. They often occur at big inflection points, although I have no idea which direction the stock market will go next. But I am pretty convinced this is one of those times when it is ripe for inefficiency.
