😊😃 Happy to share our recent work, now published in Risk Management and Healthcare Policy! “Current and Future Applications of AI-Driven Predictive Modeling and a Proposed Framework for AI-Bioprognostics in Kidney Care” 🔗 dovepress.com/articles.php?a… (DOI: 10.2147/RMHP.S618968) In this article, we explore how AI is reshaping risk stratification and predictive modeling across acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis, and kidney transplantation. To support the transition toward continuously informed precision care, we propose a comprehensive Multimodal AI-Bioprognostic Architecture. This proposed framework aims to drive clinical intelligence by integrating: 🔹 Diverse Data Inputs: Fusing longitudinal clinical records with wearables, remote monitoring, imaging, digital pathology, multi-omics, and donor-derived transplant biomarkers 🔹 A Dynamic Engine: Utilizing temporal modeling, latent phenotype identification, and dynamic recalibration to move beyond traditional static variables 🔹 Actionable Outputs: Translating these models into early disease detection, individualized prognostication, precision therapeutics, operational intelligence, and AI-assisted clinical synthesis While the potential to support proactive kidney care is immense, we also highlight the critical barriers that must be overcome for clinical translation. Realizing this potential will require rigorous external validation, assessment of calibration drift, formal fairness analyses, interoperable infrastructure, prospective clinical-impact evaluation, and essential human-in-the-loop oversight.
