❄️ We’re Now Accepting Sponsorship Applications for Winter 2026-2027! 🎉 Are you a business looking to reach millions of Canadians while supporting independent weather forecasting? We’d love to hear from you! 📌 Apply by October 31: instantweatherinc.com/sponso… As we prepare for another busy winter season, we’re looking for businesses interested in supporting our independent Canadian weather coverage! At Instant Weather, we strongly believe that critical weather information should be freely accessible to everyone, without being locked behind a paywall. However, delivering reliable forecasts, storm updates and live severe weather coverage comes with significant costs. Sponsorships help us cover those expenses while allowing us to continue providing this important information for free! In return, our sponsors have the opportunity to reach millions of Canadians through our forecasts and weather coverage. Last winter alone, our sponsored posts generated over 38.1 MILLION social media views and reach, along with more than 6.3 MILLION website views! Some individual sponsored forecasts reached nearly 2 million people, providing incredible exposure for the businesses supporting our coverage. Applied last year? We’d love to hear from you again! We received more interest than we could respond to last year. If you’re still interested, please reapply so we have your latest details. Thank you for your patience! Applications close October 31, and we’ll be reaching out to selected applicants in November. Due to the expected volume of applications, unfortunately, not everyone will receive a response. We want to ensure that our sponsorships are a good fit for both our community and the businesses we partner with, so we’ll be focusing on opportunities where we believe we can deliver the best results. Know a business that might be interested? Tag them below or share this post! - IW Team

⚠️ Monitoring Ongoing Chemical Leak in Toledo, Ohio for Potential Impacts in Southwestern Ontario We are closely monitoring an ongoing hazardous chemical leak in Toledo, Ohio, just across the border from Southwestern Ontario, for any potential impacts on our side of the border. The incident began late Tuesday evening, prompting officials to order evacuations and shelter-in-place measures in parts of North Toledo. Officials have also expressed concerns about a potential explosion as crews work to contain the leak. The chemical involved has been identified as glycidyl methacrylate, an industrial chemical that can pose health risks if inhaled or through direct exposure. Given Toledo’s proximity to Windsor and Essex County, we are keeping a close eye on the situation, particularly the potential for airborne chemicals to travel across the border. The good news is that current wind patterns are carrying the air away from Southwestern Ontario. However, wind direction can change, so we will continue monitoring conditions closely. At this point, there is no indication of a threat to communities on the Canadian side of the border. We want to emphasize that we are monitoring this out of an abundance of caution. We will provide further updates if there is any indication of a potential impact on our region. - Brennen
