Good to see over 200 people at Ware Priory today for the Proclamation of Accession of King Charles III. Many have also signed the Book of Condolences at the Priory as we remember with thanks the devoted and dedicated life of our Queen. God Save the King!
R.I.P. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her life was truly one of exemplary service and dedication to all the people of this nation, and she will be remembered by me, residents of Ware and people throughout the world with love and gratitude.
A rousing end to the Jubilee weekend with the Miss Jones Jazz Band and @warebrass at @WarePriory. Fine music enjoyed by a large (and varied) crowd inside and outside the Conservatory. At the end we sang off the extra calories from today's street parties! #PlatinumJubilee

Into my final week as Mayor of Ware! After Sunday's book festival, we had the Annual Town Meeting on Monday and Ware @FAIRTRADE meal last night. Today @GSK volunteers were helping all round the town as part of their Orange Day, including @southernmalting. Many thanks to all!
The first ever @hertsbookfest was a great success! Books, drama, workshops, dance, and a chance to meet the authors! Hopefully the first of many🙂 Thanks to all who organised and volunteered especially Ware's The BookNook, not forgetting Elmer the elephant! #hertsbookfestival
Made in Ware! This Wickham motorised rail trolley from the 1960s has just been superbly restored by @Watercress_Line volunteers. I travelled on it at Medstead during their 25th anniversary Spring Steam gala. #heritagerailway One was in the Great St Trinians Train Robbery.
Splendid turnout today at the St George's Day parade from @Girlguiding and @Scouts of Ware and the surrounding district. 40 different groups including Buntingford, Braughing, Amwell, Stanstead and Hunsdon all met at @WarePriory after the parade through the High Street. Well done!

Amazing artistry on display today in the Easter Egg decorating competition at @WarePriory - a record of well over 100 eggs superbly decorated by children of all ages. Very hard to choose winners - really everyone was a winner for their imaginative and varied ideas. Happy Easter!

Lots of amazing Lego creations at Ware's the Bricks at @WarePriory over the weekend, raising money for Essex/Herts Air Ambulance. Thanks and congratulations to all exhibitors and to Darren and the organisers. Guess what was my favourite TV programme as a kid!
