What an honor it was to write about my good friend Jonny Miller. And it was even better to see him back at the ballpark.

His Flutie call was better than the one by Brent on CBS.
Iggy Suarez, who was the interim coach for Triple-A Worcester following Chad Tracy's promotion to Red Sox manager, will be the bench coach for Worcester in '27. Chad Epperson, as reported earlier today, will become the Worcester manager after serving as interim 3B coach for Sox.
Adam McCalvy, one of the most talented people and best teammates I know, will cover the Brewers in the World Series for the first time in his 26th year on the beat.

Garrett Whitlock dealt with leg pain throughout the final month of the season.
When he underwent imaging after the Red Sox were eliminated from the Wild Card round, he found out he had been pitching on a fractured tibia:

Not to sound like the old dude on the hill but my favorite October baseball was Jack Morris, Curt Schilling, John Smoltz and others pitching until the manager literally ripped the ball out of their hand.
Just an outstanding all around game by Xander Bogaerts. He easily makes the list of top five Red Sox players I enjoyed covering the most.
Nothing better in sports than a great playoff baseball game. Padres-Brewers. What a game. And still going.
Now that things have wound down with today's postmortem press conference, I just wanted to genuinely thank everyone for following the season through my eyes and ears.

Just landed in Ft Myers. Time to take a step back and enjoy watching 17 yr old kids play this great game. Thanks to everyone for following along this yr on @NESN. We had some fun. It was an honor to be part of the @NBCSports Post Season coverage, just not the end we were hoping 4
A postseason to forget for the Red Sox. They lose, 9-0, in Game 1. And 9-2 in Game 2. For the second year in a row, the Yankees win the Wild Card Series between the rivals. And for the fifth straight year, there will be no playoff baseball at Fenway Park.
Willson Contreras gives the Red Sox their first run in this series, a solo shot that just clears the wall in right-center. Now, 2-1, Yankees.
The throw by Nate Eaton to nail Ben Rice was 99.1-mph, per @SlangsOnSports
The Erik Miller move doesn't work two nights in a row. This time, it's Bellinger who laces a single to make it 2-0.
In an elimination game, down by a run and with two on and two outs, Sonny Gray comes out after 4 2/3 innings and 70 pitches. Miller to face Bellinger.
