I believe $BASECAT has the potential to become one of the greatest comeback stories we’ve ever seen on base
and the irony is that the people laughing at it today might be the same people who end up telling everyone they saw it coming
because every cycle has that one project nobody wants to believe in
the one that gets written off
the one everyone calls dead
the one that becomes a punching bag for the entire timeline
until one day the narrative completely changes
and i think $BASECAT has a real shot at being that underdog
we watched this cat go from almost an $80m market cap back down to a fraction of that
people called it a round trip
said the opportunity was gone
questioned why anyone would still believe in it
but here’s what people don’t understand
the chart took a beating. the community didn’t disappear.
the biggest believers are still here
the blue helmets are spreading
and people are starting to identify with something bigger than the price of a token
now zoom out and look at what’s happening with coinbase
they’re expanding internationally, pushing further into traditional finance, and building an ecosystem designed to bring more people onchain
base is growing into a serious financial network
and look at what aerodrome has been building
aerodrome has become one of the major liquidity hubs on base, helping support the trading activity and defi infrastructure that the ecosystem needs to grow
and with the broader aero vision focused on unifying liquidity across ethereum, we’re talking about ambitions that extend far beyond one memecoin cycle
that’s what makes this so interesting to me
while people are arguing about whether base is dead, projects like aerodrome are working on the infrastructure that could make the ecosystem more connected, liquid and useful
the infrastructure is growing even when the sentiment isn’t.
and as that happens, i believe the cultural side of the ecosystem becomes increasingly important
because infrastructure brings people in
but culture gives them something to belong to
and that’s where i think $BASECAT has an opportunity most people are completely overlooking
we’ve seen DOGE, SHIB and PEPE become recognizable symbols of their respective communities
none of them became cultural phenomena because everyone agreed they would succeed from day one
they became bigger because people kept showing up, spreading the meme, and building recognition around them
and that’s what i see beginning to happen with the blue hard hat
but here’s the part that matters most to me
i don’t want $BASECAT to just be remembered as another memecoin that pumped
i want it to become the story people tell about how a community refused to disappear when nobody believed in it
how an underdog became a recognizable part of base culture
and how the same people who were mocked for wearing the helmet helped build something the entire ecosystem eventually recognized
i know that outcome isn’t guaranteed
coinbase growing doesn’t automatically make $BASECAT successful
but if base becomes one of the defining ecosystems of the next era of crypto, i believe $BASECAT has a legitimate shot at becoming one of its defining cultural symbols
and that’s the opportunity i’m betting on
the greatest comeback stories don’t start with everyone believing
they start with a few people refusing to give up when everyone else has already written the ending
this is bigger than trying to catch the next pump
this is about building a legend
$BASECAT 🐱🪖
i think one of the biggest mistakes you can make this cycle is letting everyone else decide what you believe
people will tell you something is stupid at the bottom
call you lucky when it pumps
and then tell you it was obvious after the move already happened
at some point you have to do your own research and build your own conviction
even if everyone around you thinks your thesis is retarded
that doesn’t mean blindly marrying a coin
it means understanding why you own it before everyone else’s emotions start becoming yours
that’s how i’m looking at $BASECAT right now
it went from basically nothing to almost an $80m market cap
and now it’s sitting around $12-13m after an 80%+ drawdown
sentiment cooled off
attention cooled off
people who loved it higher suddenly question it lower
but Base didn’t stop building because the chart went down
Base is still trying to bring stocks, commodities, perpetuals, prediction markets, payments, stablecoins and basically every major asset class onchain
Coinbase Tokenized Stocks are already live on Base
Coinbase itself lists $BASECAT
and Base’s own strategy literally talks about rewarding projects that bring more users and volume into the ecosystem
so my thesis isn’t that BASECAT magically goes up because Base succeeds
that’s lazy thinking
my thesis is that if Base becomes one of the major places people actually trade and use assets onchain, the strongest native cultures and memes sitting inside that ecosystem have a chance to capture a disproportionate amount of the attention
and every cycle has coins that look completely ridiculous until they aren’t
DOGE looked ridiculous
SHIB looked ridiculous
PEPE looked ridiculous
nobody knows beforehand which one becomes the one
that’s why conviction has to come from your own thesis and not somebody else’s timeline
BASECAT still has real risks
it’s a memecoin
it’s volatile
liquidity can disappear fast
and being down 80% doesn’t automatically make something cheap
but that’s also exactly why the upside exists if the thesis works
i think this cycle is going to reward the coins that become symbols of the ecosystems people actually use
and if Base continues growing into what Coinbase is trying to build
i still think $BASECAT has one of the cleanest shots at becoming that symbol
i’m not looking for everyone to agree with me
by the time everyone agrees
the trade usually looks completely different
Honestly Zoom out and believe in way larger horizon
How you know your in crypto @toly @notthreadguy
Some of you are gonna wish you had more conviction when nobody wanted to buy
i’ve been taking advantage while the TL loses its mind
it’s time to win.

Guys Black October is about to be so cooked
the entire world is rushing to put everything on the internet, but are we actually prepared for what comes with it?
AI, banking, crypto, businesses, our entire digital identities.
all becoming more connected by the day.
yet two reported security flaws in widely used web software are showing just how much damage a single weak point could potentially cause.
think about how insane that is.
we’re spending billions making technology smarter while the infrastructure protecting it still has serious vulnerabilities.
this is why i believe the next wave of innovation won’t just be about making everything digital.
it’ll be about making everything secure.
because the more the world depends on the internet, the more valuable trust becomes.
The internet is going into a LOCKDOWN.
Hundreds of millions of websites are potentially at risk from cyberattacks.
Governments, banks and major platforms have already taken their websites OFFLINE.
Many are already calling it “Black October.”
At the centre of the shutdowns is something most of us have never heard of, but use every day.
PHP, the software behind roughly 7 in 10 websites, has two critical flaws that can let hackers break in without a password.
Dubbed PHP2Shell, both are rated 9.2 out of 10 for severity.
Details began circulating on Oct 20. Emergency fixes arrived the next day, but attackers were already moving.
Cloudflare’s CEO says hacking attempts then jumped from thousands to MILLIONS within hours.
Cybersecurity agencies across several countries are telling PHP site owners the same thing: Patch it now, or take it offline.
Websites have gone dark worldwide, from government portals and hospitals to banks.
CrowdStrike warns these attacks leave almost no trace, so some sites may not know if they’ve been hit.
Around 2.6 MILLION internet-facing servers run PHP, potentially hosting hundreds of sites each.
Over 1.1 million use older versions no longer receiving official PHP updates.
Older installations may need an upgrade to a supported PHP version or a fix from their software provider.
And patching does not remove a backdoor an attacker may already have planted.
Cloudflare also says hackers are now tweaking their attacks to try to slip past its protections.
But PHP isn’t the only security story unfolding.
-Japan’s Onamae suspended ALL Desktop Cloud plans after malware was found on customer servers.
-India’s eMudhra had 8 website-certificate keys so weak, one was literally the number “4”.
-State Bank of India confirmed 3,897 customer records on the dark web.
-Criminals used AI agents to break into 400+ Latin American banks.
-Capcom confirmed a breach exposing 11.7 million email addresses.
-GitLab disclosed a 10/10 severity flaw in versions going back to 2014.
-LiteLLM removed a malware-containing release. Railway reported possible exposure of customer secrets.
None of these has a confirmed link to PHP2Shell.
We’re seeing separate breaches unfold together.
The true number of incidents could take months to come out.
The world is still on alert. Attacks are still coming.
I am attending the @base Meme Summit on October 22, 11 a.m. EST. W/@BasecatOnBase
this kimchi situation really exposed how many plumbers are just miserable oldheads who can’t stand seeing someone else get attention.
imagine being so miserable that watching someone else get attention feels like a personal attack.
This says more about them than kimchi ever could.
Respect to you @kimchi1x
Mega bullish on this @base
Yoo what the fuck

🚨Pokémon cards are now OUT-EARNING perps in crypto.
Solana-based Collector Crypt has surpassed both Hyperliquid and Papertrade in 24-hour revenue as Pokémon and other collectible pack openings continue going viral onchain.
The surge puts digital pack openings ahead of major trading platforms on the daily revenue leaderboard, a striking sign of where crypto users are spending.
