The Pentagon has announced new rules that restrict the press from reporting on military matters without prior approval, even when the information is unclassified. Reporters are being told they must submit material for review before it can be released, and those who do not comply risk losing their press credentials and access.
Journalists will now face tighter movement inside the Pentagon, often requiring escorts, and will be limited in where they can go. Press freedom groups are already warning that this is a form of prior restraint, which means government censorship by another name.
If the press must first get permission to report on unclassified military information, it no longer serves the public. It serves the state.
A free society requires a free press. When reporting becomes filtered through official approval, truth dies and propaganda takes its place.
For too long, the Libertarian Party has focused on big races that rarely translate into wins. But did you know Libertarians win 33% of local races like city council, mayor, and school board?
PDR is about shifting our focus to where we can WIN and make a real impact. These local offices control taxes, schools, and regulations—things that affect our everyday lives. By building issue coalitions, securing ballot access, and electing Libertarians where it counts, we can start reclaiming our freedoms from the ground up.

Big Al knows
A team losing a game is not a "disaster."
Home runs are homers, not "dingers," "jacks" or "bombs."
A player scored 10 straight points, not 10 "unanswered" points.
If a football team scores two touchdowns and the opponent doesn't come back, say it "never trailed" rather than "never looked back."
In short, avoid hackneyed words and phrases, redundancies and exaggerations.
