Crackdown 2 #recomp with all DLC running natively on PC at 30fps on an ultrawide monitor. Second image is an Android port running on a Pixel 10. Lots of performance fixes to come and hopefully mods! github.com/ImpetuousDanny/Cr…

ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨 Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". There’s no setting to turn it off. The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.” Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?

So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.

But I was told there is no risk on public networks? You're telling me I can be popped by a DNS response and there are 0-days in the security product shipped on consumer laptops? At least nobody is going to MiTM me on a train, right? So I'm safe? Please respond tweeps.
‼️🚨 Microsoft has patched a critical Windows DNS Client remote code execution vulnerability that allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. All it takes is a malicious DNS response. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-41096 with a CVSS score of 9.8. It is a heap-based buffer overflow in dnsapi.dll, the Windows component that processes DNS answers on every machine. To trigger it, an attacker needs a position where they can influence DNS responses: a rogue DNS server, a poisoned resolver, a compromised router, hostile WiFi, or a man-in-the-middle placement. That puts ordinary Windows DNS activity in the blast radius. Browsers, VPN clients, enterprise apps, update checks, and background services constantly ask DNS where to connect. The vulnerable processing sits in the Windows DNS Client path, not an edge-facing server product. Microsoft assessed exploitation as "less likely," and Rapid7 lists the issue as not publicly disclosed and not known to be exploited at release. On the contrary, a 9.8 unauthenticated network RCE in DNS client handling is exactly the kind of bug defenders should assume will be reverse-engineered quickly. Defenders should: - Deploy the May 2026 cumulative updates and confirm coverage across endpoints and servers - Restrict DNS traffic to trusted resolvers where possible - Monitor Dnscache and svchost.exe for abnormal child processes or unexpected outbound activity - Treat public WiFi and untrusted resolver paths as higher-risk until patching is complete

People will spend more on recovering the Airpod, rather than just buying new Airpods
My AirPod pros have been lost for a year in Pakistan and guess who’s going to go there next week and get his property back!

So, like, do you have to know how to code to be a red teamer? Could save myself the effort of writing loaders and malware to evade EDR, or new C2 comms channels. In all seriousness, I know red reamers who don't code and are good at it. They have a team for that.

This is the shit they had us doing in college. At home in the evenings I was learning c/++, pirating Borland Delphi to get ahead in class, and building PCs for friends. Good times.
Today is 30 years since Delphi was launched, in February 14th of 1995.

Did cyber work for a company who sold and serviced lifts. When I spoke to them they were going through some "change in business". Turns out that was an employee being killed during maintenance after being trapped and crushed.
i’m too traumatized from final destination to risk this
