It's not that long ago...
When twitter had a community that came together around a mid- winter secret Santa.
How cool is this? Last winter my vege garden was a bit of a dead loss. This year it's growing lots of veges.
And I've got Kamokamo and squash from my summer crop as winter vege as well.
Some early 70s vibes with these baggy trousers bought today. They even have a cuff. But being a tad vertically challenged I am unpicking the cuff to shorten the trousers. Need to remember how to make a cuff properly.
Back in the day my checked, cuffed trousers were home made 馃槅
Dinner tonight thanks in part to my garden but also food prep and harvest from earlier. Lasagne from my freezer. fritters from large Kamokamo harvested to store, with dried parsley and tomato relish from last summer's tomatoes.
I've been in my own house for nearly 9 years. Creating my own piece of paradise without having to factor in another person's needs or goals. I've got a vision, but detail changes as I execute the dream.
Every so often I have a deja vue moment that this has been my dream forever.
The baby I started this for is now two!!!
I kept making mistakes with the cable so chucked it in a cupboard.
Determined to get it right, pedanticly (is that a word?) recording each row, double checking and counting everything.
Not sure who is going to get it now.
Home today from a weekend in Auckland at a Toastmasters conference. Long drives each way because of road closure - but good drives.
I'd bought this piece ages ago from Antique alley and picked it up Friday. Cat likes it.
Now enjoying an evening in front of the fire.
Replying to @Becs
I harmed a few. All but a little bit of red onion harvested from my garden 馃榾
(I don't usually photograph my food just in case I need to tweet. Had been talking to my son so was showing off the veges and how quickly I can prepare a yummy meal for 馃槃)
Went outside to do an hour in the garden before a teams meeting.
Spent most of that time picking up walnuts and I've probably got the same again still on the ground.
Love having a walnut tree but it does add another job to my day
#notcomplaining
Also some big kamokamo
A bit of an "old lady" vibe atm. Talk of shopping bag trolleys, knitting and now I've joined the "pink rinse brigade" - but not how my Nana used to do it.
My hairdresser gave me a sample to try. I'm being brave - it is pinker than the picture shows.
