Dear @cfmontreal
Before you ban your most loyal fans for being too passionate, and voicing their displeasure with the disaster you created, you should ban yourself for incompetence and for destroying a storied club. Montreal will forever be Impact!

Statement on Safety at Stade Saputo Following the October 21 Incidents
The Club recognizes the disappointment and dissatisfaction surrounding the teamâs sporting results. However, results on the field can never, under any circumstances, justify violence, vandalism or any behaviour that puts the safety of others at risk.

Aside from the shocking substance of this story, what's amazing is how it was unearthed by Cole. The short version: The Russians were able to penetrate Jared Kushner's iPhone and extract screenshots and data. Then, a Russian intel official was captured by Dutch intelligence (!) and flipped. The Dutch believed Kushner may have been acting on behalf of Russia, so pursued him as an intel target and were able to get into his phone.
They did not find any evidence of Russian collusion, instead they watched him moving hundreds of millions of dollars from slush funds created by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, one of them housed in Israel's central bank.
Incredible reporting, and if Democrats have any sense, they will pull on these threads and learn a lot more about this money.
Explosive story many years in the making, now out in Vanity Fair by Matthew Cole (who will be on Breaking Points next week, and publishing soon in @DropSiteNews):
Saudi Arabia and the UAE set up multi-billion slush funds for Jared Kushner to use.
Iran-Contra 2 here (except with Iran-Contra, at least the US got some hostages released. Not clear what we got out of this one.)

Adam van Koeverden is announcing the breakdowns for increased sport funding: an extra $60M this year for a total budget of $156M. It's a big increase spread across every recognized NSO in the country; this year has been a remarkable renewal in sports funding in Canada.

Yoann Damet arrived at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport in 2013 ready to take a leap to North America, accepting an academy coaching internship with the Montréal Impact.
There was one problem: After Damet landed, he found out he didn't the correct work visa. Canada turned him away at the border, put him on a plane back to France and gave him a 12-month ban to enter the country.
Disappointed but not completely deterred, Damet knew Montréal's reserve team was in France on trip. So he went there. That team was coached by Wilfried Nancy, someone who would become a close friend and extremely influential in Damet's coaching journey.
Now preparing for the U.S. Open Cup final tonight with St. Louis City at the stadium Damet won numerous trophy's at with Nancy, fate works in funny ways.
âYou never know, maybe I would not be here right now if I got the right visa,â Damet said.

The Canadiens know how to take a lead, but they just don't know how to hold a lead. And that's really the most important part of taking a lead: the holding.
