He really was unfathomably wonderful.
#Pratchett on fantasy, while charmingly putting a snob in their place.

I finished Bethany Joy Lenz’s memoir “Dinner for Vampires”, which details her experiences in an Evangelical cult during her run on One Tree Hill. I expected it to be an emotional read, since I came from a similar background.
What I didn’t expect was how ANGRY it made me.

Can't stress this enough: a random story you write on a lark may end up being the one that gets you the most recognition while the one you really love may get few reads and/or your worst reviews. Don't overthink it. Publishing is a gamble. You'll win some; you'll lose some.

Do you have an exceptional science fiction story 1-3,000 words and would like a response within mere days? Our semipro journal is looking for a final story to round out next month's issue and would love to see a powerful voice-driven narrative come our way. #WritingCommunity

EB will always choose what we publish based off of the work, not who submits it. We don’t care how big the name is, just how good the work is.

Just a reminder that we encourage poetry submissions. We never receive enough speculative poetry, and it's a beautiful and fascinating form. Please send us more of it!

Stay focused in your writing. It is not easy and it never will be. There are too many devices, too much media, too much technology competing for our attention these days. Do everything to carve out little fragments of time for yourself to write; otherwise, it'll never get done.
