An Air Quality Action Day is in effect for Lake and Porter counties through midnight tonight, which includes large sections of the park. Air pollution may reach unhealthy levels, especially for children, older adults, and people with heart or lung conditions.
Visitors should consider limiting prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity, take breaks indoors or in a vehicle, and monitor current conditions at AirNow.gov.
