Strawb has been criticized for 2 reasons. 1 her track record and reputation she has established over that past 3 months. Secondly, Strawb failed at handling this both based on her own principles and based on the common social principles we all have.
Based on her own principles she should have exposed Ember long ago so she could have prevented Ember entering these ‘woman spaces’ and prevented potential victims. This is her narrative for outing it now but by sitting on the info she’s responsible for anything that happened after.
Based on our common principles she should have taken the evidence to Ember himself and got him to admit this or found common grounds and understanding so he didn’t enter any ‘womans spaces’. It could have been handled a lot more cleanly in private with at least getting Ember’s side before exposing, than the hit job she did in an attempt to clout farm. There is a reason this is common practice in journalism to at least give the other side a chance to respond.
As far as victimizing in women’s spaces, someone has claimed Ember made sexual jokes (as probing comments), but it was a Christian streamer so I don’t know how prudish their opinion is on sex. I’ll withhold my condemnation until I see transcripts/evidence. I don’t care about feelings, I care about what happened.
Lastly, no I won’t be apologizing for having a nuanced opinion on this even from people I have high respect for. I judge people based on actions and agenda. What were they doing and why were they doing it? Until I see actions from Ember that are damning or see an agenda of intentional exploitation, frankly Margret I don’t care.
Ember until this reveal was not considered a bad actor in the space and has had very valid takes. I’m not about to throw the baby out with the bath water because you don’t like the fact that a male would use a female model and voice to get views in a streaming space that trends against watching someone with a male model.
This is the result of the common vtuber narrative that has been set up that ‘male vtubers are sex pests and weirdos’. Is it really so surprising that a guy would stream as a woman and then be deathly afraid of their gender being exposed that they’d smile and nod along in a female group chat? No, it’s not. By labeling males interested in vtubing as such you’ve set the table for this scenario.

Ember and him share a lot of viewers so engaging only drops his viewership. Meanwhile very few people watch both strawb and ember so strawb is going all in. Rev can't publicly scold his wife. So he's sorta stuck downplaying the situation.
Even his dismissive biological man and woman's space comment won't play well for him. We know Ember's not going into any private spaces where women are changing. Nor is Ember playing any women's sports. So that logic does not apply. Streaming, chat rooms, nor vtubing are not a "women's only safe spaces".
If this was anyone else it'd be a video. But we all know this won't for a good reason.

If there is a beef, it probably is from after not joining the company in good faith she larps as a phase anti. Stuff like posting “i’m free” like she’s been oppressed by phase on Saga’s annaversary. Or announcing her graduation without permits on the day Lumi’s album released(which was great btw). It comes across as a jilted ex rather than the playful banter she may think it is.
Both opinions from Pippa and Nanya are pretty understandable. Pippa vouched for her and she caused problems and did fuck all with the company and didn’t even seem to try.
Nanya lost nearly a year of revenue from her streaming/videos and debuted with 1/3 the viewers of her old channel which she has to also split revenue on. So it drops it to 1/6th the revenue after waiting half a year to debut.
The Anya/Phase pairing sucked for both sides.
My suggestion for Nanya is to let the Phase stuff go. It’s not worth losing a friend over when the failure was just as much your responsibility as theirs.

Going to break down Strawbs video and Ember Paradox's allegations:
Strawb says that Ember has only interacted pleasantly with her but stated outside influences hearsayed her to believe Ember is a man but she has no proof. Ember has been upfront and honest about her voice changer.
She has to my knowledge never stated that she was a man and if she is if not used in bad faith that is not anyone's business. Strawb claims Ember's old facebook account when she revealed during a hack matched reddit posts made under the same usertag posting for a "trans" voicechanger and r/crossdressing for breastplates and webstories. Paradox is a word so there is a possibility that these accounts aren't the same person, though it's more probable than not that it is the same account with a reddit login through facebook.
To Strawb:
Let's assume ALL this is true and Ember is a trans man presenting as a female and is genderdysphoric.
Strawb, why you doxing her? Vtubing is supposed to protect knowledge about the user but you are instead revealing personal information because YOU have a hangup?
We fight wokeness, trans ideology, mass immigration, DEI, etc. because the societal harm it causes. We don't want a biological man in a woman's bathroom due to risks and non-consensual peeping, or in women's sports for fairness and safety. Having a chat with undisclosed information is not an invasion of your privacy. She is not harming anyone.
Unless we get information that Ember has been exploitative under this IP mask it's not harmful.
Meanwhile Ember has been positively representing the feelings of many of us, while you have politically horseshoed subversively at times.
