An infielder's prep step and timing set the foundation to be in the best position possible to make a play. Here is a short video of some dry work and drills to help work on those aspects of your game! #InfieldU #FridayFielders

"We've talked about variability and variation for a long time in infield play...but do we have unpredictability?" Players don't freeze in games because they've never fielded a ground ball. They freeze because the game forces them to make decisions. Are your drills just training execution or are they also training decision-making? Watch this full clinic at ABCA.org/videos or in the My ABCA app!

Peyton Sanderson goes full-extension up the middle to get the Drags out of a bases loaded jam yesterday against Alvin. @p_sand11 and @seancurtis2020 accounted for 10 of the Drags outs in the game, including 2 inning-ending double plays! 🐉 #PJCbaseball #BuiltDifferent #InfieldU

Establish the understanding of lanes with your infielders: 2-Hand Lane vs. 1-Hand Lane Working laterally with 1-Hand lessens the restrictions and allows the infielder to be much more athletic and mobile while allowing for more range. #InfieldU

The 2-Hand lane can become a 1-Hand when the ball dictates it. A versatile infielder needs to go learn to optimize all 3 lanes! #InfieldU

As HS baseball cranks up in Texas today, this is your yearly reminder to play catch with a purpose! You will spend approx. 25 hours “warming up” this spring. Use it to get better by working: Arm Slots Transfer Pocket Accuracy Redirection Relays Tags Footwork Etc. #InfieldU

This series is definitely support that most errors and issues in the infield come from throws not glove play. #infieldhappyhour @Infield_U

📍The Outfield Blueprint📍 🔹Systematic approach to identify & track where inefficiencies can occur. 🔹Checkpoints flow into one another w/ a symbiotic relationship. 🔹Coaches need to be able to translate info to players & present it by being precise, accurate & actionable.

Sometimes it’s not flash or fancy, it’s out of necessity. Sometimes it’s not clean, but you have to finish the play. Video below shows some of our drill work with in-game payoff •4-6-3/6-4-3 Specials (Rolled Series) •Panic Drill #InfieldU #TheDirtLab – at Texas, USA
