Post 2 on #Swavlamban2026. Some amazing aviation innovation being undertaken by @XinfinitiA under @India_iDEX for @indiannavy. HEFS (Helicopter Emergency Floatation System), the first fully designed & made-in-India CEMILAC-compliant safety-critical float for Naval Chetak (also later aimed at ALH) is ready for wide implementation after successfully completing development & trials in record time. This would probably be the fastest case in aviation. I personally have never come across CEMILAC clearance so fast. The stall allotted was number 1 & the place assigned for the display right under the banner which read ‘Success Stories’! That itself gives you an idea about the current status of induction. Another interesting ongoing case by the same startup is the NCAS (Naval Chetak Autonomous System) via M2UC manned-to-uncrewed conversion. Smart way to extend life of legacy platforms with autonomy, ISR/ASW capability and lower risk. Would also be useful for @adgpi, @IAF_MCC & @IndiaCoastGuard. With unmanned systems many limitations of night flying, high altitude & even payloads can be overcome. #NIIO #TDAC #AtmanirbharBharat (BTW, someone had commented, rather sarcastically, on my article on the naval helicopter history saying I should also check why the unmanned Chetak is not moving. I did. It is) @BharatShaktiBSI @nitingokhale @ragebaitop

Post 3 on #Swavlamban2026. At the @dpropulse stall. Young startup. Good results in quick time. Impressive progress on what is probably India’s first indigenous air-breathing Rotating Detonation Engine. They hot-fired a 5 kN class RDE (with aerospike) at DRDL earlier this year, reaching TRL-5. IIT Madras-incubated, led by @SJha1618 & Dr Ramanujachari (CTO, former DRDO, scramjet expert). Compact, higher-efficiency propulsion with real potential for high-speed munitions and UAVs. Huge potential for collaboration with other startups and even DPSUs. #AtmanirbharBharat @indiannavy @SIDMIndia @sriramthg

Justice and human rights cannot be ignored. Stand with Qasim and Suleman as they demand justice for their imprisoned father, Imran Khan. He must be granted immediate access to his lawyers, family and doctors. We urge international human rights organisations and UN officials to raise this issue and call for his fundamental rights to be respected. @InsightGL @srdmk01 @manishmedia @OsintTV @Sanjaygupts1996 @AJK_Now @UNHumanRights @UN @hrw @amnesty @amnestysasia @UN_HRC #ReleaseImranKhan

It’s a dark day for #Riyadh, proving that despite spending billions backing #Pakistan and #Turkey , both nations abandoned #Saudi in its hour of need.
-UK to deploy RAF Typhoon jets to #SaudiArabia for counter-air missions against Houthi drone & missile attacks—protecting cities & critical infrastructure -What happened to #Pakistan... oh yes they condemned the Houthi attacks & reaffirmed solidarity with Saudi Arabia

China’s authorities must not mistake the world’s silence for acceptance. #VoiceofUyghur Ilham Tohti’s imprisonment demands scrutiny, not forgetfulness Release the scholar, restore family contact and end the intimidation of peaceful voices. #FreeUyghur @CUyghurs @InsightGL

India’s R&D intensity remains stuck near 0.84% of GDP even as absolute spending has risen. China is already at ~2.8%. The gap is not just money. It is the difference between funding prototypes and building the core science expertise, continuous process knowledge, private R&D capacity & demand-side commitment that turn research into proprietary industrial capability. Mechanisms like iDEX help at the early stage, but they cannot substitute for higher national intensity + clear pathways from TRL-7/8 to multi-year production. Without that, talent& pilots continue to outrun institutional conversion. Do read the article by @InsightGL insightful.co.in/2026/10/20/…

-In 2018, I assessed that 2025-35 would be a decade of wars -That has come more or less true -Now question arises — is #India ready for this decade? -How should #IndianArmy #IndianNavy & #IndianAirForce prepare prepare for it -Even bigger question is — how do we utilize it to our advantage insightful.co.in/2026/10/22/…

#India must step up. Too many domestic companies rely on low-risk assembly, licensing, and "white-labelling". Real innovation demands that the private sector invest heavily in original intellectual property, labs, and long-term product development.

-This is the list of 'World’s 30 Largest Banks' -There is not even a single bank from #India -India needs to work on these aspects despite all the opposition from countries & people who don't want the country to grow

I am hopeful and optimistic too, Commander. Troubled times ahead for sure and we need to be well equipped to confront diverse scenarios and challenges - with one goal - to make #India outshine others. 👍🏻

Very aptly covered - there is no place for starlink in India 🇮🇳. It is not in the strategic interest of Bharat 🇮🇳. Need to promote only Indian 🇮🇳 companies which have a track record of “India First” initiatives and provide DATA at reasonable cost down to the lowest strata .

#Starlink’s performance in #Ukraine has raised serious reliability concerns, sparking opposition to its launch in #India. Some so called nationalist prominent #Indian figures pushing for the service are compromising national sovereignty by aligning too closely with #US interests.
-And unreliable Starlink wanted to come to #India -Sadly, some prominent Indians were promoting it

Joy oh Joy!:-)
The happiest time for an author is when he receives his author copies of a new book :-) A journey in writing that started 6 years ago. I didn't think then that I would publish a single book, let alone 5 at a rate of nearly one a year. MAHAKSHANA! Preorder Link: bit.ly/Mahakshana @LipikaB @PenguinIndia
