What truth are we ignoring today? Chasing "AI," ,but missing key steps of STEM. First principles first.

🚫 CLAIM: Over recent days and weeks, Iranian-controlled media have reported Iranian claims that commercial vessels are hitting sea mines while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. These claims are FALSE.
✅ FACT: All internationally recognized primary transit routes through the Strait of Hormuz have been cleared of sea mines by U.S. forces and remain so. Thousands of commercial vessels have safely used the transit lanes and continue today.

🚨 LAKE POWELL JUST ROSE ANOTHER 1.5 FEET IN 24 HOURS. THE NUMBERS TELL A REMARKABLE STORY.
Lake Powell continues to climb as floodwaters from the San Juan River pour into the reservoir, bringing a significant short-term boost to water levels.
But here’s the perspective that really matters. 👇
📈 THE BIG PICTURE:
• +1.5 feet in the past 24 hours
• 170 feet below full pool
• 15 feet below where we stood at this time in 2025
• 47 feet below 2024 levels
Now consider this: Utah’s entire spring runoff raised Lake Powell by only about 2 feet this year. The recent surge in inflow is a powerful reminder of just how much water a major storm and flooding event can deliver to the Colorado River system.
The San Juan River is a major tributary of the Colorado River, and when it runs high, a substantial volume of that water can eventually make its way into Lake Powell. The reservoir’s response depends on how much water reaches the lake, how long elevated flows persist, and how much water is simultaneously being released downstream.
Here’s the reality: This is a significant rebound, but it does not erase the larger water deficit. Lake Powell remains roughly 170 feet below full pool, and we are still well behind the levels recorded over the past two years.
The next several days will be important as we watch how much of this floodwater makes it into the reservoir and how quickly the lake continues to rise.
Every foot matters. But the long-term water picture is about sustained inflow, snowpack, spring runoff and demand—not just a few days of rapid gains.
I’ll keep tracking the numbers and breaking down what they mean for Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam and the Colorado River system.

The "Prima Ballerina" fountain is located in Kosciuszko Square in the town center of Poddębice, Poland. Unveiled on August 3, 2024, this public installation features three ballerinas standing 2m tall, crafted by Polish sculptor Małgorzata Chodakowska who currently lives in Dresden. Her work lies at the intersection of sculpture and water installations and her portfolio includes projects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Chodakowska's work is undeniably wonderful!

🚨🎙️✊🇮🇹 Giorgia Meloni: “Lo dirò senza mezzi termini.

It’s not even convincing. The ratio of selfies to insect photos is way off. 🙄

The @NASAWebb telescope recently spotted stars brewing in this cosmic cauldron. This region of toil and trouble, named N159, is 161,000 light-years from Earth, in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

ALT A nebula made of clouds of gas and dust with stars forming within. In the center and out to the left it is filled with thin, wispy blue gas that forms delicate layers. Around this are thicker orange clouds with dark ridges. Thin red filaments of gas cross the center of the nebula. Glowing bubbles in the gas contain dense, very bright clusters of stars. In the edges, distant stars are visible as bright points on a dark background. Credit: ESA/Webb, NASA & CSA, E. Sabbi, M. Zamani (ESA/Webb)

Giorgia Meloniová je prostě skvělá! 🇮🇹👏🏻
Matteo Salvini začal vykřikovat, že Itálie už nesmí posílat Ukrajině peníze a zbraně. Jenže narazil. Meloniová mu okamžitě zavolala a dala jasně najevo, že Itálie svůj postoj měnit nebude.
A Salvini? Najednou otočil a začal mluvit jinak.
Bravo, Giorgia! 🇮🇹🇺🇦

It's #AmericanBeerDay! 🍻
The original American beer is much older than the United States. Chicha was a beer-like beverage brewed from the molle tree. Sometimes mixed with hallucinogens, it played a role in Andean communal feasts and ritual practices.
