At a September 21, 2004 meeting attended by Abdul El-Sayed, the University of Michigan MSA board discussed a national MSA call to action opposing the revocation of Tariq Ramadan's U.S. visa.
Ramadan is the grandson of Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Steven Emerson recovered the meeting minutes and examines this episode as part of the organization's history during El-Sayed's tenure.

El-Sayed in the Brotherhood's Orbit
The investigation examines Abdul El-Sayed's longstanding associations with organizations linked to the Muslim Brotherhood's network in the U.S. Drawing on declassified FBI records, internal Brotherhood documents, archived communications, and hundreds of hours of recordings, Emerson presents evidence that deserves serious public scrutiny.
I'm particularly flagging this investigation for my friends in Michigan, but its implications go well beyond one state or one political candidate. We cannot afford to bury our heads in the sand when it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood's history, networks, and efforts to gain influence in American institutions. These are legitimate national security concerns, and political convenience should never take precedence over examining the evidence.
The American people deserve to know who is seeking positions of power, what organizations they have been involved with, and what those relationships mean. I'll share all six installments below so you can examine the investigation for yourself.

Is Google $GOOGL a buy here at $293? Let's find out.
It just crashed 9.4% on a quarter where operating income grew 30% and Cloud revenue DOUBLED.
It's now 28% below its high.
Here’s why this is happening:
Revenue $127.6B, up 25%. Operating income $40.6B, up 30%. Cloud did $30.7B, up 103% and has accelerated every single quarter this year.
But EPS fell 26%.
The reason: an $8.66 BILLION loss on equity securities. Not the business. A mark on things they already own.
And that’s the same line where Alphabet carries its Anthropic stake. They own 14%. Anthropic filed to IPO on Monday at a last private valuation of $965B.
14% of that is about $135 billion. They paid $300 million for the first 10%.
They also hold an exclusive option to buy $10B more at the IPO price.
Warren Buffett personally initiated a $10B Alphabet position in June. His words to CNBC: "I initiated it." Berkshire's first net buying quarter in over 3 YEARS.
Keep the bear case in mind though. FCF was NEGATIVE $9B, debt is $125B, Search slowed to 12% growth, zero buybacks.
But at $293 you're paying 28% less than the high for a business compounding operating income at 30%.
I'm definitely a buyer here.

Berkshire Hathaway bought $10b worth at ~350.
Stanley Druckenmiller bought ~$120m worth in Q2
David Tepper bought ~$41.9m worth in Q2
They report Q3 earnings on Wednesday after close.
