Iowan here. The ad was fucking dumb. I am not sure who he wins over with it, and he can only possibly loose support IMO. Beyond that, his position is also dumb.
I also said both candidates should release more information about their wealth and financial status. But no, my criticism is definitely going to more anti-right rn. After all they have been in charge for over a decade here and have absolutely run this state into the ground. So …
I have criticized Sand for canceling the OBS debate today. He was able to campaign the day after the debate was scheduled. Also criticized Sarah Trone Garriott for fucking around on scheduling a debate. However my criticism is more critical of the GOP because they are worse rn.
The Iowa GOP has an over $1 billion deficit in their current year budget with zero plan to address it.
Specifically, I mean the morning after the Iowa PBS debate was held. He was 100% on the campaign trail the next morning.
Not sure why he couldn't do the PBS debate originally. He was doing campaign stops the very next morning. I think its positive the sides seemed willing to give him space, but think its important to do a variety of debates to give voters as many chances as possible to see.
Well he surely won’t spend more than the Iowa GOP has. Plus unless they plan to lose the statehouse majorities — which would be bonkers levels of unlikely — Rob Sand won’t have the ability to do what this column claims.

He said IF they wanted to, THEY COULD. Which, they can.
If you think they already don't, then just say "let's amend the law to make sure its explicit that they can't do this, and give someone the ability to make sure they aren't."
At his Iowa City town hall in September, Rob Sand accused Iowa's religious schools of using school voucher funds to buy alcohol.
Meanwhile, Iowa City Public Schools has overspent its capital projects fund by $45 million over the last four fiscal years.
All public schools in Iowa are legally required to perform an yearly audit and report it to Rob Sand's office.
Rob was just too busy attacking school choice parents to stop Iowa City schools from misallocating our tax dollars.
Literally not a Democrat. I'm the intolerant middle no-party type who hates it here. Give me a better option and I'll gladly entertain it, but haven't seen a better option in a while and instead have watched this state get burned to the ground while you morons co-sign it.
