This past Saturday, a detainee died at the Otay Mesa Detention Center in San Diego, marking the 61st death in ICE custody since President Trump returned to office. We are seeing record numbers of people dying in ICE custody under this Administration. This is unacceptable.
ICE has repeatedly attempted to obstruct oversight of this facility by San Diego County officials and members of Congress. Now, following another death, ICE has failed to provide basic answers about what happened.
I will accept nothing less than full transparency and concrete answers from ICE about how this individual died and what steps will be taken to prevent another tragedy.
ICE cannot continue to operate without meaningful oversight and accountability.

Texas Senate race is transcending into a fight between the world’s richest man and James Talarico. Ken Paxton has been relegated to a supporting role who by his own admission has very little control over his own campaign
Talarico Vs Musk is a test bed for 2028. If Musk is successful in buying the state of Texas lock stock and barrel, he will be almost unstoppable in 2028
Here in Texas we have a choice to make next Tuesday. Sell Texas to the highest bidder or vote to make Texas free and independent.
Vote wisely my fellow Texans the future of Texas is in our hands

NEW: Judge David Carter rejects DOJ’s demand for a court order forcing CA to segregate any mail ballots cast by alleged noncitizen voters, finding the state has no obligation to assume enforcement of federal criminal statutes and that the DHS databases of “likely noncitizens” registered to vote were unreliable in multiple ways. 1/

I sat across from Cassidy Hutchinson when she testified. Trump’s DOJ tried to indict her for it. But last night we found out a grand jury wouldn’t even let them bring the case.
In 2022 she told the country Trump knew his crowd was armed and wanted the metal detectors taken down. She told us he wanted to go to the Capitol with them and lunged for the steering wheel when the Secret Service said no.
Trump’s allies have called her a liar ever since. Now a DOJ lawyer has admitted to a judge that the grand jury rejected the indictment. They say a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich. This one wouldn’t touch her.
She threw away her career to tell the truth. I believed her then and I still do.
I break it all down in today’s show (link in reply).

Trump is busy with arts and crafts—gluing gold medallions all over the White House—while he boasts about how much money the oil companies have made at our expense. His own oil and gas stocks nearly doubled after he started the war with Iran (now worth as much as $82 million). He even laughed that we couldn’t afford a hamburger at Mar-a-Lago.
Chaos. Corruption. Cruelty.
Today in Georgia, Obama roasted him for it: the White House looks like “Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory,” and the administration spent more energy melting down over a joke than fixing the prices they’re driving up.
We can put an end to this billionaire government of corruption together on Tuesday, November 3rd. Vote Democratic down the ballot all across America.

The proposed legislation would establish a minimum level of compensation for wrongfully detained U.S. citizens who win their cases.
It would also roll back the protections from lawsuits that immigration agents currently have.

Monterey County Stands Strong: Community and Officials Unite to Block ICE at Salinas Jail
When federal immigration agents unexpectedly descended upon the Monterey County Jail in Salinas for a "targeted operation," they were met with swift and principled resistance from both local officials and the community. In a powerful display of solidarity, county leaders made it clear that federal agents are not welcome to use local facilities for their enforcement activities.
The unannounced presence of ICE agents stationed behind the jail quickly drew the attention of local rapid response teams and concerned residents. These passionate community advocates bravely gathered outside, raising their voices to demand that the federal agents leave their neighbors alone. Despite the community's rightful outrage, the agents stubbornly held their ground.
Refusing to be intimidated or complicit in federal overreach, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office took decisive, protective action. To ensure the safety and constitutional rights of those inside, the sheriff commendably locked down the entire facility—suspending new bookings, halting inmate releases, and closing public visitation so that no one would be unjustly handed over to ICE.
The sheriff's office accurately cited the California Values Act (SB 54), the state’s crucial sanctuary law that rightfully limits local law enforcement’s cooperation with federal immigration authorities. Officials emphasized that ICE had failed to notify them of the intrusion, noting they took these temporary measures out of an abundance of caution for everyone's safety.
Demonstrating the county's unwavering commitment to its immigrant population, Monterey County Supervisor Wendy Root Askew directly confronted an ICE agent, firmly stating that the jail would not release anyone while ICE was present. This bold stance perfectly aligned with a progressive policy adopted by Monterey County supervisors in September. That policy rightfully bans ICE from using county property as a staging area or operations center for civil immigration enforcement, ensuring local taxpayer resources aren't weaponized against vulnerable residents.
By locking down the jail and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with protesters, Monterey County sent a clear, unmistakable message: they will fiercely protect their community and uphold sanctuary laws against federal intimidation.
