Happy to share my new article with Megan Erickson on the killing of government officials by criminal organizations, published @JPR_journal. We examine how changes in Mexico’s criminal landscape have shaped violence against politicians.

Happy to share my new article “The Public Security Issue Area” out in @PRQJournal. Is public security a unidimensional issue? Is it really captured by the left-right spectrum? I argue mostly no to both of these questions. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.…
Findings demonstrate that 1) these policy categories are not fundamentally mutually exclusive, and 2) while ideology does help us understand who proposes certain public security portfolios, there is substantial ideological intra-group heterogeneity.

I asked a (brilliant female) colleague about the apparent gender gap in AI uptake in our field and she suggested that it was driven by women being more likely to be judged as incompetent if they use AI. This resume study suggests, sadly, that she may be correct.
