Cole Palmer names Gittens as the most skilful Chelsea player:

One Saturday morning, like this day, I went to the stadium at Surulere to exercise.
No coach, no guidance. Just me, trying to keep fit without really knowing what I was doing.
Then a young man approached me.
“Good morning, sir. I know you. We work in the same bank. My name is… Who is your coach here?”
I smiled. “Well, I don't have one. I don't even know what I'm doing!”
He replied, “Don't worry, sir. I'll help you.”
And just like that, he took me to the gym area and became my gym coach, completely free of charge!
Wow! Can people really be this kind?
The following week, a team from HR came to my office to brief us on a design campaign for the bank's new health and wellness initiative.
During our discussion, they mentioned plans to introduce regular exercise sessions and open a gym for staff.
So I asked, “Do you have a gym coach?”
They said no.
Immediately, I remembered the guy who had helped me at the stadium, and I recommended him.
On the day of the launch, he performed so brilliantly that he caught the attention of the Group Managing Director (GMD).
He eventually became the GMD's personal gym coach!
And that was not all.
When the bank's Head Office gym finally opened, he became one of its gym staff. He also became one of the lead coaches for the bank's regular Jogging to Bond exercise programme.
These opportunities completely transformed his job status and career in the bank!
And to think it all started with a simple act of kindness towards someone from whom he expected nothing in return!
Never underestimate the power of kindness.
Sometimes, the opportunity you are praying for is hidden in the kindness you show someone today.
Good morning, and have a beautiful Saturday! ❤️🙏🏿

THE OFFICE HE NEVER WANTED ME TO OCCUPY
The Nigerian Army sponsored me to UniLag to study Law—something I had wanted to do since my college days. I was a young Lieutenant, had a car, my education was paid for, and my salary still came every month. After UniLag, I proceeded to Law School under the same arrangement.
Not everyone was impressed. Many officers from some combat arms were not getting similar university opportunities, and some resented those of us who did.
Then I got to Staff College.
My first Directing Staff was one of them. He had a fine time marking me down and gloating over it. Whenever he returned our assessments, he would keep mine until last and announce:
“How are the mighty fallen! They read the Law but can’t perform.”
He never mentioned my name. He didn’t need to. Everyone knew.
By the third term, he wanted to teach me again, apparently to finish what he had started. God intervened.
Years passed.
One day, this same officer, now a Colonel, was facing his third and final attempt at promotion to Brigadier General. He needed help. He wanted the Principal Staff Officer to the Chief of Army Staff to speak for him.
He knew the former occupant of that office and expected to meet him. What he did not know was that the man had handed over to me just one week earlier.
He walked into the office.
There I was.
Sitting in the very seat from which he now needed help.
Shock.
I stood up and greeted him with the military respect due to his rank. I was a Colonel too, like him, but he was my senior. No mockery. No revenge. No reminder of Staff College.
The moment needed no commentary.
He struggled to speak, could not bring himself to raise the real reason for his visit and, after a few uncomfortable minutes, left. He eventually missed the promotion and retired.
Life is a long journey with many bends.
Never use a temporary position to inflict permanent wounds.
The junior you ridicule today may occupy the office you need tomorrow. The paper you put at the bottom of the pile today may belong to the man who will have your file on his desk tomorrow.
Power moves. Rank changes. Chairs change occupants.
Be firm. Be professional. Exercise authority. But never humiliate people simply because you can. Notice a pattern: Everyone who maltreated me ended up needing me. God designed it so.
You may meet again, and next time, the door you need opened may have their name on it.

Praise isn’t just a response to good circumstances. It’s a choice that can strengthen your faith, change your perspective, and keep your heart focused on God. Even when life is difficult, you can choose to rejoice and give thanks. As you praise God by faith, your problems become smaller and your faith grows stronger.

Translated and dubbed this powerful message from Luis de la Fuente, because these are words that deserve to be heard far and wide. 🌍
“THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LUCK. Luck is a word used by mediocre people to discredit those who achieve their goals.”
Let that sink in.
Success doesn't happen by accident. It's built through hard work, discipline, sacrifice, consistency and showing up OVER AND OVER.
But here's the important part: even hard work doesn't guarantee the result.
In football, as in life, success and failure can be separated by a single moment, a single decision or a single result.
And sometimes, despite doing everything right, things still won't go your way.
You can't always control the result. But you can always control your preparation, your attitude and your effort.
And that's where the real difference is made.
