A strong shilling needs dollar inflows, but investors also look at the rule of law, political risks, and a country’s reputation. Can Uganda attract investment without strong institutions and a reliable justice system?

The State Minister for Sports Hon @OgwangOgwang didn’t know that @KitarafcHoima was being charged UGx 30 million by @NCSUganda1 to use Hoima City Stadium per game.

Sports Minister @OgwangOgwang says that Hoima City Stadium is a hybrid stadium that can only be used once a week as per the professional contractor's advice for proper management of the facility ahead of AFCON 2027.
This comes after Hon. @IsmailKasule4 (Hoima West) sought temporary access to Kitara FC to use the facility for their local games. He also tabled evidence showing that the home-based sports club has been paying revenue to National Council of Sports (NCS) to use the facility but continues to face resistance.
Sports Minister, Hon. @OgwangOgwang pledged to probe the matter to ascertain if the said monies were received by government. #PlenaryUg
This afternoon on the floor of Parliament, I sought temporary access to Hoima City Stadium for @KitarafcHoima to host its local games.
I also tabled evidence showing that Kitara Football Club has been paying revenue to the National Council of Sports (@NCSUganda1 ) for the use of the facility, yet the club continues to face resistance despite the continued failure to approve the Royals Park Butema.
In response, the Minister of State for Sports, Hon. @OgwangOgwang pledged to investigate the matter and establish whether the said payments were received by the government.
I remain committed to ensuring that our team gets the necessary support and access to facilities to continue promoting sports development both locally and internationally.
