New video up ❤️💙
youtu.be/cJLMqVbHsyA?si=3Yhe…
It is part updated color theory video, part storytime about how I became a theorist, part personal vendetta against one specific youtube commenter.
Anywho, hope you like it!
if we actually get concrete 'up is down' confirmation I may cry. I'm really trying not to get my hopes up. but that preview 👀
thinking about the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind scene where they lay on the frozen ice and look at the constellations
I'm very intrigued by this 1/2 light 1/2 shadow thing they have going on. à la Peter Pan & his shadow?

in basically every shot of Drip there's some some set design or camera framing that creates a cube or square. such a subtle way to incorporate Sopro into the mv 🟥 kudos to the directing team.

Hi. go read this theory by serenity_otep about the constellation Cassiopeia.
In Chinese Cassiopeia's center star Gamma Cassiopeiae is called 策 "whip", & is part of a Chinese constipation for Wang-Liang and his's charioteer's whip.
"Stars in my whip" 🌟🌠
reading ancient philosophy is def not my forte, but i've been mulling over possible connections between Ateez lore and Plato's Republic.
-Callipolis: a utopia 'beautiful city'
-Ring of Gyges: a magic ring that turns you invisible, The Ring, Lord of the Rings stuff ofc
-Allegory of the sun: Treasure/light, nature of reality
-Allegory of the divided line: shadows, reflections, illusions, dreams, memory
thinking about the double meaning of "reflection":
1. think deeply about, remember, look back on
2. mirror image
