There is one side of AI that Authors don't talk about. The HATE that some authors show if you as a writer use AI for anything.
It is vicious, dismissive. I don't use AI to write, but my X header is made with AI and I won't condemn writers who use AI. It's enough to get me hated.
I am writing a book about a young band set in 1976. Back then, a ticket to the Hammersmith Odeon (Apollo) was £2 (£18 at today's money). Beer was 32p (£3).
But now, Apollo tickets are £50 to £100. Beer £8!!!

This is Google's Trust & Safety Team's final judgement on an ad selling a scam SSD drive - apart from being an obvious scam, it is also a well known one.
Google clearly don't give a damn about ordinary people - they just want MONEY!
The grammar checker I use, @ProWritingAid, advises against overusing dialect as it slows readers down. We should NOT pander to those who want bland and uninspirational prose. But should take our readers on a journey of story and words. Else, what is the point of storytelling?
Silly writing tip.
I have realised, rather late, that writing with a font size of 14 rather than 11 or 12, keeps me more focussed and more likely to see errors.
So I have two new templates. 14 point, Garamond, and 1.5 line spacing, and a 16-point version for the audiobook.
AI writing is getting a lot better in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. To the point of giving it a unique voice. Making it hard for a human to detect. But detection programmes are also getting better. It is not as simple as this.
I tire of authors telling other authors what a book should be like:
It must be all show no tell (zero poetry)
Never passive (Everything in your face)
Mono perspective (forget the other characters)
Don't use complicated words (readers hate words)
Well, that eliminates the greats!
"He" doesn't. Never has. AI didn't exist when I wrote my last eight books. And it isn't used on the 11 book series I am currently editing. I don't need it because I enjoy writing. Where you get off on accusing me, I don't know. Your problem.
Replying to @SCHostetler @Its_CCHogan
He definitely uses AI to write, just like the AI profile photo.
Oh, well, @SCHostetler blocked me. Never mind.

Why is it so complicated in the US to change your names? A judge has to approve it?
In the UK, you can legally call yourself what you like. If you are regularly called that name, then it is yours.

Sleepy eyes, wine crusted,
Staring at words, undusted,
Another chapter, another verse,
More editing yet, roll in my hearse!

Lust is like a German beer
Full of froth, fizz and cheer
You drink it fast, the gallons plenty
Then grab another, cos you're still empty
Love's a wine so old and rare
That sits and waits for us to share
Its long embrace cheers us up
As out slips the cork with a gentle pop!

What sort of poem
Should I whisper in your ear
To make your heart beat
Raise now a tear?
What kind of voice
Will caress your soul
Bring the blood of youth
In from the cold?
I am sitting still
Thinking of lover's rhymes
And would speak to you
Through the dark times
