Céline Dion closed her last show in Paris in a custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy. Now this isn’t just any custom Chanel. The gown paid homage to the iconic Chanel Spring/Summer 1997 Couture look Céline wore on the 69th Academy Awards red carpet in 1997. About 6,000 jewels and 5,000 beads were used on the entire look, requiring over 1,380 hours of work to complete the gown. The gown was paired with a recreated Gabrielle Chanel’s 1932 Comète Star necklace Dion also wore on the award night.
