#mechsfam,
You've been the absolute best space an art teacher could ask for. I will miss your bright orange hallways, your sometimes too clever students, and your many, many tiny ducks (many of whom still have a home in my pockets).
I love and will miss you dearly 💕
Hear ye, hear ye! MECHS Field Day 2023 has officially commenced! Let the best house win!!

Dakota is a state VASE medalist, earning a 4 for her painting about her health struggles. This kid is amazingly talented! First year in art since elementary school. Thanks @JAMArtClass @ALMartinezART for all your support. @memorial_hs
Today, Morgan won the first Gold Seal ever received by a student at MECHS. She was one of 151 students out of 32,000 to win this award, putting her in the top .5% of Texas HS artists. 😭💕 Wow, right?

The culmination of weeks of hard work. Only the artist knows what truly goes into making a painting like this. Kudos, Lucy :)
