“What do you do?” - absolutely hate answering this question when meeting a new person.
Going to replace this with “what’s been the highlight of your day?” Thanks @vvanedwards!
Vanessa Van Edwards tested six conversation starters on 500 speed networkers. "What do you do?" came dead last.

Just set this up. Works perfectly. BYE Hey Siri!!
Everyone said "Hey Grok" was impossible on iPhone. Even Grok said Apple keeps wake words for Siri only. So I kept digging, and I found a way. Now I just say "Hey Grok" and Grok Bot voice chat opens. No extra apps, no cost, all built into iOS.
How to set it up:
1. Make sure your Grok Bot app is up to date
2. Shortcuts app → + → Add Action → search "Grok Bot" → pick "Start Voice Chat with Bot"
3. Settings → Accessibility → Vocal Shortcuts → Set Up → pick that shortcut → type "Hey Grok" and say it 3 times
4. In the shortcut's details, turn on "Allow Running When Locked"
If your phone is locked, iOS asks for one tap first. If Face ID already unlocked it, it's fully hands-free.
I love that people are vibecoding a new Arc. But… if there was one app I do want a team working on, and that understands and takes security seriously, it’s my browser.
2002 called. It wants its browser back.
We're sad to hear Arc is sunsetting later this year; we're big fans of what @arcinternet set out to do & achieved. Arc's innovations influenced some of our own features: Sidebar, Split View, and the upcoming Mini Window. If you're currently an Arc user, what features do you want to see in your next browser?
Read the comments. There is still no browser that is as good as Arc. Dia?! Not a chance…
I still use Arc. I’ve tried all the others. All the copycats. All the so-called replacements. None get close. There is ALWAYS a big compromise.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
This guy deserves to be president one day. You might not agree with him on certain things, but you will NEVER be able to name a single politician who moves into a suburb for a week to join the cops every day on safety patrols. 🔥
I moved into Mitchells Plain this past week so that I could spend every day and night joining our Cape Town Metro Police officers and Neighbourhood Watches on safety patrols, drug raids, traffic stops and drone ops 🚨👮♂️
Stay tuned to see what happened. Looking forward to sharing with you all the work our Cape Town Officers are doing to support SAPS to make our city safer for all.
This is their stance on AI agents etc. Which was last updated in April this year.

So sad to see. @culturedcode
I'm actively looking for an alternative, after more than 6 years as a paying subscriber.
It kills me that @culturedcode (Things to-do list app) doesn't have or is even interested in building an MCP or API so agents can work with it.
I've used and paid for it for YEARS - and never considered switching... but I think its time.
