Breaking News: Federal agents shot two people in Portland, Oregon, local officials said, prompting calls to end an immigration crackdown in the city. nyti.ms/4jtLe1Q
Everyone in the United States needs to be concerned about growing federal violence on our streets. Minneapolis yesterday, Portland today. Your city tomorrow?
We are living through state-sponsored terror. It must end. Congress must act. This administration has lost the plot.

Huge concern about a reported shooting of two individuals by federal agents outside Portland Adventist Hospital.
My team and I are closely monitoring this situation and are working hard to get answers. I will share any updates as I learn more.
Please keep protests of Trump's ICE/CBP peaceful, as Trump wants to generate riots. Don't take the bait.

Heartbreaking scenes emerging in Portland.
Two federal agents shot and injured 2 people at a HOSPITAL. We have yet to receive an update on their condition.
All the meanwhile the President and VP are giving ICE agents “unlimited immunity”.
WE NEED TO STOP THIS MADNESS.
PDX is capable of building great things when we put our mind to it. My preference is we lead with this kind of ambition.
The trump administration wants to paint us as a war ravaged city.
They want to send troops to quell a crisis that does not exist.
Our beautiful city doesn’t need the national guard. We reject the use of the military against our people.
This great region is proud of our values.
Housing forum with @BienestarOR. Working with people to keep people our priorities straight.
As local governments we need to keep our eyes on our shared values and priorities: creating abundant housing opportunities and pathways to homeownership.
Now is the time for us to organize and dream for the future we want to see— a future rooted in belonging, opportunity, and progress. I am ready to fight for that future.
Rooting for my East Portland friends.

Eyes glued to the screen. Watching results come in. Heart racing.
One thing I know is true. Regardless of election results locally and nationally we have a LOT of work to do to rebuild trust in our institutions.
Here for that work. I believe.
I grew up a few blocks from here and it was such an honor to speak at the ribbon cutting for 113 new units of affordable housing in my hometown of Cornelius.
This project pairs the Metro bond with supportive services, critical for addressing regional homelessness.
Last week, Metro joined @WashcoOregon and other project partners to celebrate the opening of Plaza Los Amigos, a new affordable housing community in Cornelius. Its name is inspired by "Los Amigos Club," a mutual aid association that supported migrant workers in the 60s and 70s. Learn more: bit.ly/3XpOLn4
Earlier today the @HillsboroHops broke ground on their NEW stadium. Honored to join the ceremony. A huge win for the westside. It took a lot of partnerships to get here. #GoHops
Celebrating CorneliusLink - a NEW and FREE transit service that will serve Cornelius & Forest Grove neighborhoods with a dedicated @Ride_Connection shuttle.
This project is a MAJOR first and last mile investment in this part of the region.
We began working on additional transit service to this area nearly 5 years ago. Many of the policies that Metro and JPACT have been working on with the regional transportation plan (RTP) include major investments for last mile improvements.
To me CorneliusLink makes the case for why other projects in this area, like the big TV Highway project that @OregonMetro and @TriMet and local partners are leading, are important. Our community deserves more services and access.
