One discovery changed everything we thought we knew about autism. And mainstream medical institutions refuse to support it. We’re not waiting for them anymore. We just launched a bold plan to revolutionize autism care. Bookmark this. 70-75% of children with autism have antibodies that prevent folate from entering the brain, leading to “cerebral folate deficiency.” (1) Cerebral folate deficiency and autism are two different things. But folate is vitamin B9, and it’s vital for brain function. So researchers asked: If we can deliver vitamin B9 to the brain, can we address cerebral folate deficiency? That’s where leucovorin, a compounded formulation of vitamin B9, comes in. In 2018, our CEO John Slattery co-published a double-blind, placebo-controlled study on leucovorin and autism. The clinical data suggested that leucovorin can significantly improve communication in children with autism and language impairment. (2) Autism parents deserve the freedom to explore leucovorin for their child with a licensed provider. So we launched a telehealth platform to connect autism parents with licensed providers to explore leucovorin with an off-label prescription. Available now in all 50 states. Check it out in the thread below, or send this post to an autism parent. References: (1) Frye et al., Molecular Psychiatry, 2013 (2) Frye RE et al., Molecular Psychiatry, 2018 @NadiaElkhatib

We just built the care model for autism that “should have been built a long time ago.” Our CEO John Slattery revealed we have the technology to deliver autism care that was impossible just five years ago. How? With AI, we can finally "unravel the complexity.” Every child with autism is unique. What works for one child may be completely irrelevant for another. So our new telehealth platform is a bold attempt to revolutionize autism care. We’re starting our journey by connecting parents with licensed providers to explore leucovorin, a compounded formulation of vitamin B9 (folate), through an off-label prescription. Clinical data suggests that leucovorin significantly improved communication in children with autism and language impairment. (1) Our telehealth platform is available in all 50 states. Our intake form for new parents takes just 5 minutes. And access starts at just $249/month. Slattery: “It is up to us now to build this model, to make it sustainable, to make it available for families.” “We’ve got a tremendous group of clinicians, parents, partners.” “Everyone is all in to make sure that we can provide a wraparound care model… to support the various needs and unique needs for each family.” Find out if our platform is right for you using the link in the thread below:🧵 References: (1) Frye RE et al., Molecular Psychiatry, 2018 @NadiaElkhatib

URGENT: RFK Jr.’s new autism committee is about to shatter the consensus that autism is just genetic. Their new plan will: Shift resources to expose the root causes of autism. And empower families to heal kids with profound autism. But we need your help to make their plan a reality. Sarah Kernion is calling to “light our communities ablaze with commentary to flood in support of the draft” plan. It only takes 2 minutes. The committee is accepting public comments until tomorrow, August 20. See the reply below this post for a step-by-step guide to submit a public comment:🧵 @MedMAPS @Honey_MedMAPS @MakeAStandOrg @FogelSylvia @AutismMomTracy @NationalAutism

NEW: Dr. John Gaitanis just revealed to Dr. Drew that major medical centers are preventing doctors from prescribing leucovorin for children with autism—“despite the fact that it’s a B vitamin.” But here’s what they don’t restrict: “We have right now approximately half a million kids with autism who are on antipsychotics long-term.” (1) (2) “There’s no restriction to writing those prescriptions.” “And the clinical trials that led to the first antipsychotic getting FDA approval was only 101 kids, of which only 50 had received the med for eight weeks.” (3) “Plus the side effects.” “Weight gain.” “Breast development in young boys.” “Potential for movement disorders.” “It feels a little like we have an addiction in this country, but it seems like it’s more the medical community that may be addicted.” “And they may be addicted to chronic use of long-term psychiatric meds as opposed to trying a different approach, which is to really test for the underlying root causes.” But many parents are seeking out information on leucovorin for their children with autism after clinical data suggested that leucovorin may significantly improve communication in children with autism and language impairment. (4) We built a telehealth platform with Dr. Gaitanis, our Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, to connect parents with licensed providers to explore leucovorin through an off-label prescription for children with autism. Our platform is available in all 50 states. And access begins at just $199/month for the first 100 families who sign up. This autism dad just realized that his daughter has a superpower: She remembers EVERYTHING. “Our conversations.” “Our attitude toward her disabilities.” “Even if they’re non-speaking, non-verbal … building up self-confidence and self-esteem is so, so important.”

This video will absolutely melt your heart. This father has a daughter with autism. Watch as he gets her to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” along with him. “I believe that at least 1% of the reason why her spoken language continues to improve is activities like this.”

BREAKING: A new CNN report revealed that a nationwide supply crunch has left children with autism struggling to find leucovorin. Today, we are delivering a new option for families navigating ASD. We just officially launched a new telehealth platform in all 50 states. Our initial clinical focus is on a key biological mechanism: The cerebral folate pathway1. Our platform supports telehealth access to licensed providers for families exploring leucovorin, a compounded formulation of vitamin B9 (folate), through an off-label prescription in ASD, which research has shown improves language and communication in children with ASD2,3. And it arrives at a critical moment. Millions of families are seeking clearer, more coordinated care. John Slattery, our CEO and Co-Founder, announced: “The timing couldn’t be better to launch a 50-state telehealth solution to provide guidance and clarity.” “Our kids deserve better.” “Meadow was built to deliver exactly that.” We’re streamlining specialist access. Securing reliable medication supply. And saving families money. Access to our telehealth platform starts at just $199/month. Our compounded medication is dye-free, gluten-free, casein-free, and delivered within seven business days. Find out everything you need to know about our new telehealth platform using the link in the thread below:🧵 This content is for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes only; it is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
