Don’t be fooled. If there’s stalking after a separation:
Never go for a last chance holiday, drink etc
They’re not safe just because there’s a new girlfriend
Grand gestures come with a price.

Start delivering proper justice for murdered women now and protect against future victims @AlexChalkChelt @MoJGovUK @RishiSunak – at South West, England
Did you know that two women a week are killed by a current or former partner in England and Wales? Poppy Devey Waterhouse was 24 and Ellie Gould just 17 when they were stabbed to death in their own homes by their ex boyfriends.
Their mothers, Julie and Carole, have joined forces to campaign for longer jail time for domestic killings.
Under current laws if a murderer has brought a weapon to a scene (outside your home) with intent to kill, he or she would expect to be jailed for 25 years. However, if you kill someone with a weapon already at the scene (in your home) the starting point is 15 years.

On about the fifth name you can see that I look up and I choke as I go on to read the next name because what I saw when I looked up was the families of killed women standing up in the gallery as a mark of respect. It took everything I had to not just break down in tears.

As Director of Public Prosecutions, I worked to make sure victims were put first.
In government, I will work closely with families like those I met from @KilledWomennw to halve violence against women and girls in a decade.
This is a personal priority for me.
