Feeling energized by the fantastic science at #CeDev2022 where I reconnected with many worm people and #Folate22 where I was welcomed into a new scientific community. I've really missed in person meetings.

Virtual school is humming in the background and I (probably unwisely) sent my son back to daycare today. I keep thinking, new year, same story. The anxiety, the constant disruptions, and the questioning whether I'm making the right decisions - it's all still there.
This article resonates strongly with me as a parent of two children under 5. The past two years have been extremely challenging, and I hope 2022 will bring a solution for young kids and their parents. (A thread) time.com/6130454/covid-vacci…

The seminal discoveries by this year’s #NobelPrize laureates in physiology or medicine have explained how heat, cold and touch can initiate signals in our nervous system. The identified ion channels are important for many physiological processes and disease conditions.
