I was present yesterday evening during the confrontation between police and ‘protesters’ in the Kyiv
region. I went inside the house where the mobilized men were. Here is what I saw, and what I can
say.
Post 2 of 24
Like many people, I followed the affair on Telegram. Reports of violence against the mobilized men
shocked me. So I decided to go there to verify the facts.
Post 3 of 24
Rumors claimed that 40 men had been kidnapped and tortured in a house held by the National
Guard. Others spoke of a death by gunshot and a leg injury. I found no evidence confirming these
accounts.
Post 4 of 24
The house was actually a reception point for a National Guard brigade. Recently mobilized men
were being gathered there, as were others returning. It was not a detention center. Fourteen men
were in the house, along with National Guard soldiers.
Post 5 of 24
The procedure was for them to appear before a medical commission to assess their fitness for
combat before assignment.
Post 6 of 24
One of the men managed to send his location to his wife. She came to the building and began
shouting that her husband was being subjected to violence. The situation then became tense.
Post 7 of 24
Yes, mobilization in Ukraine poses real problems. Violence has already been documented in
recruitment centers. But in a country at war, mobilization is compulsory and remains a military
necessity. In this particular case, the men questioned at the scene did not report having suffered
violence. We must distinguish real abuses, which should be denounced, from accusations that have
not been substantiated.
Post 8 of 24
The wife then called a private ambulance. Two people dressed as medical personnel arrived.
Post 9 of 24
According to information gathered on site, the company shown on the vehicle had ceased to exist in
2023, and the vehicle used was about ten years old. The woman was reportedly not a nurse but a
cosmetologist and aesthetic-surgery practitioner.
Post 10 of 24
These two people then demanded access to the mobilized men. The woman knelt down, shouted,
and cried, saying that she wanted to make sure they had not been ‘tortured.’ Their status as medical
professionals was seriously in doubt.
Post 11 of 24
To my eyes, the aim seemed above all to be to get the men out of the building. The hypothesis of a
medical evacuation intended to take them to a hospital is an interpretation, not an established fact.
Dozens of people, often very young, arrived in large numbers. One witness told me he had seen
groups of hooded men arrive.
Post 12 of 24
The crowd grew, and tension rose in front of the building.
Post 13 of 24
A young man presented as 13 years old, though he appeared older, climbed into a tree. He threw
stones at police officers and soldiers while insulting them. He was then detained and taken into the
building.
Post 14 of 24
Contrary to what was circulating, this young man was not initially held with the mobilized men. He
was brought into the house only after his arrest.
Post 15 of 24
The head of the Ukrainian National Guard came to try to calm the situation. He assured me that the
men were being treated properly and that their rights were respected. These explanations were not
enough to calm the crowd.
Post 16 of 24
Budanov, described in the original post as head of the Presidential Administration, then arrived to try
to defuse the crisis. He entered the house, spoke to the mobilized men, and checked the conditions
in which they were being held.
Post 17 of 24
Outside, the confrontation was escalating: police vehicles damaged, police officers and soldiers
struck, tear gas and irritant agents. Seeing Ukrainian military personnel, including veterans, treated
this way deeply shocked me.
Post 18 of 24
Budanov came out with the 14 men to take them toward an ambulance in front of the medical
commission. The crowd prevented their departure. Budanov himself was sprayed with an irritant by
one of the people present.
Post 19 of 24
To avoid escalation, the National Guard reportedly received orders not to charge the crowd.
Soldiers tried to disperse it by firing into the air. The 14 men were eventually released to bring the
confrontation to an end.
Post 20 of 24
Two of these men subsequently came back. I saw them and spoke to them. Both told me they had
suffered no violence. They seemed extremely bewildered by what had just happened.
Post 21 of 24
According to information gathered on site, some people who had been detained and then released
reportedly acknowledged receiving between 2,000 and 60,000 hryvnias (around €40 for the lower
amount) to take part in the gathering. This allegation still needs independent verification.
Post 22 of 24
What I can say is that the men I spoke with had not suffered violence or torture in that house. That
alone does not allow me to certify what each of the 14 men experienced. The supposed nurse was
not a nurse. Taken together, these elements raise the question of a possible manipulation operation
intended to discredit Ukraine.
Post 23 of 24
That is a serious hypothesis worth investigating, but at this stage I cannot say who, if anyone,
organized these events. I have already denounced problems with mobilization, including on
television. Real abuses exist. But every accusation must be checked. Here, many rumors do not
stand up to the testimony gathered.

Russia is jubilant. Let us remain vigilant.
A day like today really shows the amount of russian bots, disinformation and propaganda exists in this platform
Wild how LIES are repeated when the whole story has been disproved as staged
Replying to @francisjfarrell
This, by the way, is the kid who was later led out looking shocked. People kept handing him bricks and he kept throwing them. No minors were being held there. This is my video.

🚨 UPDATE!!!
This is a planned setup designed to destabilise Ukraine from within, weaken our home front, and push the country towards capitulation.
Literally the same scenario as Donbas in 2014.
Remember the little boy in his underwear who was supposedly crucified by the “Ukrops” in Donbas in 2014?
Here we fucking go again.
And there’s more!
The supposed medic in the video is reportedly a cosmetologist.
As for the clinic and the ambulance, you already know about those from my previous post.
And then there’s this woman. Just like Diana Panchenko, Yulia Mendel, Anatoliy Shariy, and other Kremlin mouthpieces, she’s been posting for ages about wanting “peace,” capitulation, Zelenskyy gone, and the war to end. LOL.
And somehow this whole story was immediately amplified internationally, including by accounts spreading Russian narratives.
What a coincidence. LOL.
The pattern is painfully familiar: manufacture outrage, spread accusations, discredit Ukraine from within, and weaken both the home front and the frontline.

🚨 PLEASE SHARE THIS WIDELY! THE TRUTH DESERVES TO BE HEARD! 🇺🇦
Today I told a friend how much I regret not being in Kyiv to document what happened in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka myself. Fortunately, journalist Marian Kushnir of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty was there.
According to his eyewitness account, the building temporarily housed mobilized men awaiting military training. He reported no evidence of torture and said rumors of a death were false. He witnessed people insulting and attacking National Guard members, police officers and Azov servicemen.
Meanwhile, allegations about “secret prisons” and torture were already circulating internationally.
LOOK AT WHO IS AMPLIFYING THEM ABROAD.
Unverified claims have spread through MAGA-aligned accounts and commentators with histories of sharing Russian state-media content and Kremlin narratives. That history does not prove coordination in this case. But why do sensational accusations travel faster than eyewitness reporting?
REMEMBER DONBAS IN 2014?
Remember the fabricated story of a boy supposedly crucified by Ukrainian soldiers? That lie helped demonize Ukrainians. Today we see a familiar information pattern: emotional allegations, viral videos, international amplification — and verification struggling to catch up.
After misleading narratives surrounding the tragedy in Oleshky, a child and accusations against Ukrainian troops and Azov are again at the center of an online storm. I am not claiming these incidents are proven to be coordinated. I am asking that the similarities be investigated.
What hurts most is hearing how betrayed some of our soldiers feel. After years of sacrifice, they see people accepting grave accusations against them before the facts are established. There are calls for peaceful rallies in support of servicemen.
Our defenders make it possible for us to speak, protest, criticize our government and choose our future.
WE ARE FREE NOT BECAUSE RUSSIA ALLOWS IT, BUT BECAUSE UKRAINIANS DEFEND THAT FREEDOM.
Remember Bucha, Mariupol and Izium. Remember the devastation and repression inflicted on Chechnya. Russia will not grant us freedom if we stop defending ourselves.
Supporting our military does not mean ignoring human rights or opposing independent investigations. The truth must come first.
Meanwhile, I am receiving hostile messages and accusations that I work for Zelenskyy or the Ukrainian government. I fear attempts to get my account suspended through mass reports and harassment.
I am an independent sociologist in Ukraine, documenting war and studying propaganda and information warfare. I WILL NOT STOP ASKING QUESTIONS.
Please amplify eyewitness testimony, verify claims before sharing, and help prevent harassment from silencing independent voices.
While the world debates viral allegations, Russia continues bombing Ukrainian cities and killing civilians.
DO NOT LET THE 2014 DONBAS PROPAGANDA PLAYBOOK REPEAT ITSELF.
DO NOT BURY THE TRUTH.
