At a turbulent time in the world, there is a place whose economy stands rock solid, there is a place that has what the world needs. That place is our place. Strong. Steady. Saskatchewan.

Congratulations to BC Premier-elect @LDoerkson and the new BC Conservative government on today’s impressive win. We are never going to agree on football teams but I know there are a lot of other areas where we will work together to build our provinces within a strong and united Canada.

There is a place that has what the world needs… Every day, business leaders like the people who joined us for supper in Regina demonstrate their confidence in this place by investing, building, creating new jobs, and giving back to their communities. And you know you can depend on this place… no matter what. Strong. Steady. Saskatchewan.

Whoops!  The NDP forgot to take the A.I. prompts out of their “Big, Bold Health Care Plan” before they posted it online. It’s no wonder no one takes the NDP seriously.

Today I join with Canadians around the world offering condolences, comfort and prayer to the families of those who lost their lives or were injured at CFB Wainwright. In times of loss such as this, we are reminded not only of the strength, courage and commitment necessary to wear the uniform in defence of our country and its values, but also of the tremendous sacrifice military families make for Canada.

Saskatchewan has deployed resources to Alberta and is ready to provide more if required to assist in responding to the serious incident at CFB Wainwright. Our hearts are with all those affected at CFB Wainwright and in the surrounding communities, as well as the first responders and those on the front lines of this tragic incident.

Happy to volunteer whatever limited perspectives I might have on good country music from current independent artists and the traditional country greats. We'll spin a couple of records each episode. Check it out on The Grid 92.9 - broadcasting from Saskatoon, Sask

They would be better off. Alberta and Saskatchewan should separate too.

Protecting our home ice advantage means building Canada’s data future right here in Saskatchewan.   More than 500 people are already working at Bell’s data centre site near Regina, with over 30 local companies helping bring it to life. It means Saskatchewan jobs, new opportunities for our businesses and Indigenous partners, and the infrastructure our nation needs to keep Canadian data in Canada.   This is Saskatchewan helping Canada compete and lead.

To the boy from Luseland, Saskatchewan who has never forgotten where he came from: Thank-You! Thank you for your incredibly generous $50 million donation to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, the largest private gift in Saskatchewan history, a gift that will serve children and families here for generations. Thank You for the hundreds of millions you have invested in Saskatchewan agriculture, in broadcasting, and in grocery stores. Thank you for your investment in west coast port capacity, which helps get our potash and agriculture products to markets around the world. On behalf of a very grateful province, thank you for all of it. Wishing Jimmy Pattison a very happy, belated 98th birthday.

Our entire Saskatchewan Party team mourns the loss of our founding member Ken Krawetz. Ken was instrumental in the formation of the Saskatchewan Party in 1997. He served as our Interim Leader from 1997 to 1998, and served as a Saskatchewan Party MLA from the formation of the party until his retirement in 2016. His guidance and thoughtfulness has provided a long-lasting legacy for the Saskatchewan Party, and his profound impact last for decades to come. Our hearts go out to Gail and the Krawetz family at this time of tremendous loss for our province.

Bell’s investment is already taking shape just outside Regina. It’s great to see hundreds of Saskatchewan people working together on a project that will position Saskatchewan as a leader in digital technology. Our province continues to be a place where major investments grow and succeed.

A founder of our party, Dep Premier, senior minister, fierce MLA. He was a mentor and a counsellor to me; as Proverbs describes -‘a friend that sticketh closer than a brother’. Whatever we might have accomplished in those years -needed his steady hand and his big servant’s heart.
On behalf of a grateful party, government and province, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family and many, many friends of former MLA, opposition leader, minister and Deputy Premier Ken Krawetz, one of the founding members of the Saskatchewan Party.   This one hurts a lot.  In any room Ken was in, whether as a teacher, school board trustee, opposition or government caucus member, cabinet minister or at the kitchen table talking to a constituent, Ken was always the guy who brought the logic, integrity, compassion and common sense to arrive at the right decision.   Ken loved his community.  He loved his province.  He loved serving his province.  He loved his friends and he loved his family more than anything.  He even loved the Toronto Maple Leafs.  His big heart struggled at times, but it was only because he shared pieces of it with so many.   Flags at the Legislature will be lowered to half-mast in honour of Ken Krawetz.

Yesterday, I joined industry, labour, municipal and Indigenous partners to outline Saskatchewan's roadmap for delivering energy security through nuclear power. By building on our uranium advantage, skilled workforce and growing nuclear expertise, we're taking action to strengthen our energy security, attract investment and build a strong nuclear future right here at home. See what one of our industry partners had to say about Saskatchewan's nuclear future.

We took another major step toward securing Saskatchewan’s nuclear energy future today, with our plan to have 2,600 MW of nuclear power by 2050. Reliable, affordable power is essential for Saskatchewan families to thrive and for businesses and communities to grow. We're building on our world-class uranium resources, skilled workforce and growing nuclear expertise to strengthen energy security, attract investment and support long-term growth across our province.
